I gotta say, this has been the most difficult song of yours for me to review. This is for two reasons:
1) I was initially only familiar with the version on Clubland Xtreme Hardcore 5 (which I'm guessing is a Hixxy remix)
and
2) That track is one of my absolute favorites of all time.
That being said, GREAT JOB!
One quick tiny little issue I found: the transition at 1:41 a tiny bit jarring. That's only cos I'm a purist when it comes to this song. You swap from breaks to straight time in one beat.
Now that that's out of the way: Your cut is head and shoulders above the original, IMO. The accompaniment throughout (strings. harpsichord, synth and esp the high winds) is fantastic. The full-voice accomp @ 40-50s is great. The variation from 50s onward is even better.
Speaking of variations I really, really like the variations from 2:08-2:26. Nice and edgy but keeps the original feel of the tune.
At 2:46, the string accomp is just awesome. In fact, the whole denoument of the tune is good. 3:00-3:10, good vocal editing.
The end is just good; nice and relaxing. Kinda the opposite of the buildup the beginning creates.
