I wanted to make a 'soundscape' that would produce powerful imagery in the mind of the listener.

I have my own interpretation but I'm not going to say, if you 'see' something, please describe it!

This was a lot of fun to make, every sound is completely made from scratch and I got to use some really cool techniques here and explore the realm of sound design. There's too much going on to explain much, but if you're really dying to know how I made something, just ask.

I'm kind of pissed at some little clicks near the beginning, they're not supposed to be there, Logic kept fucking up the export. I can't believe one DAW has so many glitches.

Oh and I don't expect most of you to like this at all. Not concerned about score here so don't even waste your time voting 0.

"Hey not bad."

I can actually get two different feelings from this song. The first is me walking aimlessly in a desert wasteland with my insanity slowly starting to take over me, and the second feeling I seem to get from this is it takes place in a futuristic city run by robots. You gave it a nice insanity vibe which really worked well for this kind of song.

"The sand"

date: May 26, 2009

There are things in the sand and they scare me.

I really love how this song almost collapses and doesn't over and over again. Just like sand.

Its really like, I'm trying to run up a dune, and I can't, and now I'm on my back dying.

FUCK. 5/5

My only complaint is that you pretty much just have a sand narrative going, where is the sand? Am I in a desert? Or on a beach? I suppose nothing suggests that I'm just in a box getting filled with sand, like that guy from the Jungle Book. Which is awesome. But i need to hear MORE FEAR.

Tis why you got a 9 sir, not enough fear.

"This works perfectly with the picture!"

date: April 24, 2009

It actually does sound like walking through a barren wasteland or the smoking hull of a ship. It has a lot of ambient sounds and clicks and stuff, that adds a lot of nice dimension to the song. It flows very nicely, despite the glitch-type effects.

This is awesome! 10/10 and 5/5!
