An Egyptian-themed metal soloing song. It's fun to jam to, and if you want the backing track to play to, I have posted it here:

I also give you permission to post your solos if you happen to record one over the backing track!

I hope you enjoy the song!

"Sweet"

date: April 19, 2009

Definitely feel some Dream Theater influence (more so in the sound) kind of reminds me of In The Name of God or Home (which would make sense, since you probably did this in Harmonic Minor/Phrygian Dominant). I'm always surprised by your skill, every time I listen to a new song by you it always get's better and more creative.

I'm glad to hear you improving and I can't wait for the next piece.

Author's Response:

I think this is actually a less creative song of mine. 4/4 with a couple of riffs and basic shredding. I did write it a long time ago.

This was actually inspired by the song "Babylon" by Stratovarius I heard ages ago. I didn't even hear of Dream Theater before I wrote this. Maybe they were in me all this time and I didn't know it, haha.

"badass reminds me of cacophony"

by: Apkx24

all you need is a version with vocals, im thinking like james hetfield or dio, but for some reason i dont think this song'd work with death growls
cause its more of a Cacophony-esque type song
CHECK OUT Cacophony-Concerto, it bears much resemblance to this song especailly the later part of this song

Author's Response:

I actually have lyrics and vocal melodies. If a singer that has an amazing range could come along, I'd give the melodies and lyrics and have them sing over the backing track.

Yeah, I love Cacophony. A bit of my soloing influence comes from them, but I don't like to sit in neoclassical for too long, but I incorporate it into prog stylings instead.

Thanks for the review!

I'm a big metal fan, but a lot of the metal on newgrounds uhm..Aint that great. But this was amazing ^^; 9/10 (-1 cause of the drumbs being kinda.. boring..) 5/5.
I loved the riffs and how the song progressed :P Great work.
