Easy Listening - Classical

Author Comments

"Reflection" is a simple, expressive and lyrical piece written for piano and strings, and displays a style characteristic of the romantic period. The primary inspiration for this piece originates from my passion for Chopin's nocturnes. The continuous background arpeggiations in the left hand provide color, while the never-repeating melody in the foreground gives this piece contour and direction.

Breathtakingly lovely. Your inspiration is understandable, IMO :) I don't claim to know Chopin's works by name, but I know what I enjoy.

Anyway, (wind,) strings and piano are my favorite assortment of instruments so this fit my tastes nicely.

Nice arrangement, and the piano is beautiful. Good luck with the concert(?).

JeffHeim responds:

Yes, it's for the UNH Student Composer's Concert- a close friend of mine is performing this piece a week from Friday (April 24th). I may put up the live performance version in place of this one when I get my hands on the recording.

Thank you for the kind words :)
