NOTE: Can't edit v1.1, so I deleted all the others, and here you go, newgrounds. Can't believe you put up with me. :-) This is pretty much how i want it to sound.

_____________

What if life were a melody? It would be simple at some times...thunderous and chaotic at other moments. Even in the midst of all the pain...if you listen hard enough, you can make it through.

Just remember...life goes on.

My high school has gone through the suicide of one of our sophomores and the sudden deaths of two fathers of two juniors, all this past fall/winter.

This is my musical response to these grim happenings. God is there if you listen for him. Take it or leave it, newgrounds.

"Come, thou Fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy, never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
mount of thy redeeming love. "

"That's not sequenced...."

date: September 28, 2009

A live piano recording on newgrounds ?! You need to remove this right now. Real talent on NG ? !?!??! ABSOLUTELY UN CALLED FOR! !!

Srsly .. I wish I could say I was kidding when I tell you that I just counted 2 tears rolling down my cheek.

Even with the emotional context of the story put aside. This is an absolutely beautiful song. And it's live .. it's real.. it's not a computer playing some sequenced notes.

Thank you for this. Thank you so much.

Can't believe I didn't read this before.

Thanks so much for your response. You're legit my favorite artist on Newgrounds, so to read your serious comment is...like...A U2 fan being kissed by Bono. Except less creepy.

The last couple versions were getting a bit of disapproval for not having a higher quality mic, or being more properly mastered. I replied politely that A) I did not have those resources B) If I did, I might not use them. The emotion behind the song is raw, and thus the song itself will be raw.

Hymns in general just invite medley. Thanks for being a part of mine.

"Fantastic composition"

date: July 12, 2009

I really love the composition for this piece! as nintesu said, I think that the 0:46-0:55 doesn't fit in with the overall emotion of the song, however, I do like the new part you have added 1:23-End even though the end of the original was nice. I downloaded Version 3 before you removed it, and I think that is my favourite version of Heart Of Melodies even with that error in, because of the echoing you could hear when it was playing. However, for this recording, it was beyond your control so I shouldn't question it.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic composition you have made and it is filled with emotion. If you are to try this again, I would definitely remove the 0:46-0:55 and just keep it how you had it in Version 3, and if somehow you can get that reverb back, that would be excellent. Nonetheless, this is great, very calming and it helps me think clearly, really happy I stumbled across this masterpiece!

"Its been awhile"

date: June 10, 2009

In my opinion this version is not as great as your origional. Now do not get me wrong my friend this is still a great track worth mentioning, though I feel as though the emotion you put in your first version is not as well in touch with this one. This one is only 9 seconds longer but it seems as though those 9 seconds were not needed since your origional was amazing and did not need any tampering. from 00:46-00:55 thats where your 9secs was added and that is where ppl say there is humor. IT DOES NOT FIT and takes away from the emotional feeling we all loved and adored in the origional and makes it sound more active and fun instead of heart touching and emotional.

In my opinion get rid of that. Leave the origional the way it was. I still have it on my ipod. I only gave it a 9 instead of a 10 because the 9sec part.

Please do not take any of this the wrong way, I had submitted a review on your previous version if you do not remember me.
