Empire Resurrection

First off.. This was a pretty intense project. I didn't start with any real intentions but as the song progressed I felt more and more comfortable with the direction of the song. Empire Resurrection is actually a "sequal" to Empire Underground, though the feeling is more of a classical element. Both songs are entirely different and only one part really even holds them has relatives a music. At the beginning of 3:39 a variation of Empire Underground's main melody begins, that's where everything ties in.

I really aspired for the main part of this song to sound like a struggle and to give the idea that this "empire" was collapsing, and then right in the midst of everything bring it back to its glory. I think I did a pretty good job. I'm not really sure as to call this a demo or not though, because I'm not entirely happy with all of the way things are mixed here, but for now, this is what you get. Enjoy and ring me some feedback.

As far as genre goes, I think this could fit under DNB or Classical, it doesn't really fit the traditional sense of either though.

As the song progresses I can paint a clear image in my mind of a little movie that can greatly represent this song. Just as you said, how the "empire" is collapsing and then it rises again. It's not just music. It can paint a whole new story. Within every beat made, a new feeling erupts. This details how I feel when listening to this. You have completely captivated my attention. Keep making pieces such as this and you'll have the world's attention.

But I have a feeling, you already have.

I agree

I hate how linear some people think when it comes to music, as though there is a specific way that everything should sound. If everyone thought like that then we would be no where in music, the beetles would have never changed music, and we would probably become mindless robots.

Damn the man with the plan, the best things in life are spontaneous.

LightKeeper responds:

Thanks a lot for understanding. It's all about perception and if you're not willing to think outside of the box you just become like everyone else. There are some general guidelines for making music of a specific genre and music in general, but if you stick to those rough outlines you'll be stuck composing boring, generic, and predictable music. Even if it isn't that good of a piece, you should still be able to rate based on the piece and not the genre. Just my two cents.

Thanks a lot DamienVastare. :)

s'okay

definately stick it in classical though this is so not DNB hence the 5/10

LightKeeper responds:

I hate to be crude, but you have a real misinterpretation of music. The beats could definitely be DNB, the overall song could actually. Though it's definitely a classical influence, it can fit either way.

Rating a song based on misplaced genre is also faulty. Rate in on the actual material, not where you think it should be. But hey, thanks for being a dumb ass and giving me a worthless review. This review is as good as no review. Unless you have some useful to say based on the music and material, don't review. It's simple.

And no: Genre misplacement is not relevant to the actual music.

Have a nice day.

Great

Loved the percussion. Good motifs.

LightKeeper responds:

Thanks, really glad you enjoyed the song and its percussion. :)

extraordinary!!!

you have a great talent!, keep it up!

LightKeeper responds:

Thanks, I will. :)
