A duet by two of NG's best vocal artists, Mandi (LadyArsenic) and Caleb (Cayler), covering the classic 'Somewhere Out There'. Female vocals by Mandi, music and male vocals by Caleb.

Caleb-"I feel great about the sound of both the music and the vocals. I think the music being more orchestrated this way gives the song more emotion. And the vocals fit very well together, I'm happy to have worked with Mandi as she gave a great vocal performance, and our harmonies blend very well it seems. It was only a few short weeks ago that this idea was born and now here's the final result. I hope you enjoy it :)"

Mandi-"This is my first singing duet with anyone, and I couldn't be happier to have decided to work with Caleb as my first. Working with him was very smooth, trouble-free, and, in my opinion, beautiful. Anyway, I think the operation was a huge success, and I hope that the rest of you see it that way as well. I also hope to work with Caleb again in the future. "

Lyrics:
Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
And loving me tonight

Somewhere out there
Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there

And even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishin'
On the same bright star

And when the night wind
Starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

I honestly liked it, but I don't really consider Mandi as " really good".
I really had to listen to this song a few times over to get used to her.

I think you have a preference for male voices. :P

"Don't see why this is rated so low...."

Because out of all the songs with a vocal track, I definitely regard this as a more quality piece of work. The song is classic & the duet was fantastic & definitely does the job of getting the meaning across. I hope to hear more. That's why I still have you on my fav artists. :P

Actually the truth is that when I first started posting to NG my stuff was voted pretty decently, but once I got a few songs on front page I got the attention of the league of zero-bombers. It happens to everybody once they get some spotlight. So I'm lucky when any of my works stay above 4.00 lol But thank you for speaking so highly of this song. I'm proud of it because it's my first duet ever, and I was lucky enough to duet with someone who had an excellent voice. :)

I feel speechless right now... this is something special. I feel like hijacking every radio station in the world, just to play this for everyone. It's one of those songs that anyone can appreciate. It lifts my feelings even higher, inspires me. I really think this is something great. I know it's not about money, but I just have to say that I'm sure this would be pretty popular once it got out there.

Amazing voices, guys, and excellent work on the orchestral support. This my favorite vocal track on Newgrounds, no contest whatsoever. Thank you both for sharing your talent!
