Who likes a good story? :)
About a month ago, a close friend of mine sent me a short story she had written through email. At the time, I was going through a bit of a downer. No new music to hit the keys...no inspiration.....nothing but bunches and bunches of lifeless bars of music plaguing my hard drive. I read through her email, and unfortunately there's absolutely no way for me to express in writing the amount of talent this girl has with words. It was a story that involved someone going through the pain of heartbreak, but within the same moment, finding themselves again. Finding the person buried beneath for so long. Feelings that I could relate to instantly.
I tried to capture that story within this melody. It's melodic and progressive without needing to go out of its way to try to grab your attention. Just a simple, 4 bar melody that attempts to convey what Sarah already did in her writing. If you'd like to contact her, PM her at galaxirose. Perhaps if she gets enough of your requests, she might post the story :P
Enjoy it, and as always....thank you for listening.

Very touching
What's funny is that you're the first person I ever listened to when I came onto the Audio portal of Newgrounds. You were the first to enter my Ipod. Heh.
This song is very touching and I can feel the emotion resonating behind all of it. Unfortunately it hits me so hard that I wish I could find and have the same inspiration that you have. I've been a bit down myself for reasons that may or may not be the same as you.
However, you did a great job on this song.

And the clouds part, shing light into your studio.
Great job, and nice story.

Great as always.
It's been a while. This song is wonderful as always. I like how you added the clarinet in, it's a refreshing departure from your usual all-piano melodies. I'd like to see more instrumental variation like this in the future.

God I love soulful piano.
Just the way you compose and play this stuff out... your piano is full of emotion, I love it, can't get enough of it in fact :D
For some reason, this piece reminds me of Beyond Good& Evil, especially at 1:21.
