EDIT 6/26/2009: Finally, I got around to recreating this song with better instruments and quality. This is much better than the previous version I did.

This track is the Main Theme to Final Fantasy VII, also known as the world theme, etc. You can hear it as you travel the world map during the first half of the game.

"True to the original, and yet..."

The thing that seems to be lacking is harmony. I remember hearing this song, and it had a much more pronounced harmony beneath it.

Still, I find it incredible how well you caught the essence of the rest of this song. Nice work.

I fail to see how you can't recognize it as the World Theme, simply because it's the same melody. Get your ears tuned, it's even at roughly the same speed.
