A nice and smooth piece of music, the hiccup title was a pretty interesting concept as well, those spiraling echoes fit the prescription nicely. Good variation, good sound quality, good everything, keep it going!

"Great melody!"

date: March 24, 2009

I really enjoyed the melody and piano portions of this. Very calm sounding.
Only thing I didn't like was the glitch beat, I just don't think it fit the song and it broke the flow somewhat for me. With exception to that, the whole piece was very enjoyable.

Good work, and good luck in the contest.

Regards,
Daniel

Author's Response:

I wanted to keep the thing I had going without it getting too repetitive. I tried adding other layers of instruments, but nothing worked for me, so I just added a simple glitched beat to it. I suppose it's just a matter of taste.

Thanks for the review :D

"Hmm"

This reminds me of something. I can't put my finger on it though...
It's awesome though. I love that phasing string arpeggio. It sounds sweet. Good piano and and melody too.
I didn't quite expect the drums though. But they were a nice touch. Work on your glitching though, it was a bit... generic. But, glitching can be tough to make, so I don't blame you.
Anyways amazing song you got here. It has a nostalgic feeling to it.

Yeh, I love glitching but I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet.

Thanks :D

"Awesome!"

6 fives in a row... some loser it going to zero vote this soon, unfortunately.

Piano sounds lovely, and the string-sounding pulse is very nice for the mood. Drums are outstanding, and everything is mixed well. I feel like such a newb asking the ever-so-popular-and-annoying question, but I'm curious to know what program you're using.

Thanks and keep up the awesome work! I'll be checking out some more of your work!

Author's Response:

I'm using both Fruity Loops and Reason. I recorded the piano and drums, then loaded them as audio clips into Fruity Loops. The rest is basically minimoog with a lot of FX applied to it.

Thanks for the review :)
