Full Title:
Final Voyage II: The Beginning

A less serious piece that tries to express the lighter side of adventuring, after part I:

(remove the space)

I used a traditional orchestral arrangement for this piece, hopefully creating a (kid-friendly) Disney-esque trailerscore for this month's MAC:

I also thinl this track is amazing, it gives ther listener a sense of adventure and glee that music normally dosent bring out and makes it seem like theres an adventure to go on.

It really is great and contrasts with all the dark classical music that you generally get for purposes like these.

Great contribution

Thanks for the feedback. I hoped to create something a bit more upbeat for the kid's song MAC.

Very nice! The whole thing is quite professional! The peice is pumped ful of energy, it makes me think of the end of an epic movie; enemy vanquished, sunrise in the sky, the girl cries, the hero holds his sword high, etc.

I have to ask, what program do you use?

Author's Response:

Thanks, man! I use EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Silver for the orchestral sounds.

"What can I say? In one word, epic."

date: April 8, 2009

This is brilliant. It makes me think of the first or final (or both) casting off of a massive ship.

One of the things that gives it its epic energy is the excellent staccato strings, keeps the song moving, even though the rest of the instruments suggest majestic, deliberate movement.

The tubular bells are placed perfectly to accent the song, and the percussion continues with the majestic exposition, with their awesome explosion at 0:22.

The horns, what can I say?

I just wish I could make something like this- I have so many abortions of projects it's just not funny.

Anyways, definitely McAwesome. And McEpic.

Author's Response:

I find that most of my projects never go anywhere - most of the time I spend a few hours on it and then decide it sounds like crap and move on to something else.

I'm glad you liked the horns - the French horn is the greatest thing since sliced bread, so I try to use it as much as possible.

Thanks for the review!
