This is the longest track I've ever done, which may spawn some negative criticism.
The biggest flaw to this song is probably the Faxing Berlin preset I've based 1/3 of this song from.
I used it because Berlin's in Germany, and psi's German.
Also, CoolDrMoney drew him in a spaceship in one of his pictures, therefore we have mothership.
Bam

On another note, the quality is horrible becaaaause of NG's 8 MB limit...
I guess you could AIM/MSN me for the actual one

i can see the progressive house in this and you are creative with the melody and transitions. it's not really what i was on here to look for, but i'm glad i came across this one, it's a great song! good job! i'll definitely take a look at your other stuff!

"Interesting."

I'm having a hard time agreeing with DarknessGrins.

This seems like a lovely example of some progressive house. I haven't come across anything like this in some time. The degree of progression almost makes it easily mistakable for an ambient track (and some samples, doubly so in the intro, provide some thick ambiance).

Excellent work Mr.Fox. I really enjoyed Grinachi Contest, but I think this song is a fine example of your lack of musical restriction. People seem to 'hug' similar layout/concepts between a lot of their songs. This is proof saying otherwise, where you are emerging from one form and style into another.

Cheers, keep at it.

Author's Response:

I think progressive house fits this nicely
However, this may be the last time I do something like this.
I had no idea that there was a full track of the two samples I used!
Originality was my aim for this and I sorta failed.
Thanks for your review though, and I'll definitely keep at it

"It's good"

date: May 22, 2009

I can't deny your skill and creativity. It's not my style, but I wont hold that against you. My main problem with it isn't that it's too long, it's why it's too long. I notice so many artists feel the need to go through 8 measures before adding another layer of music. It seems like lollygagging to me. That's what makes things repetitive. You move on to an abundance of musical variety, but it takes too long to get there. Maybe I'm just too ADD. You've got a lot of really cool parts in the song, but your transitions drag on and on. Compared to the highlights, the musical troughs seem like a sea of mediocrity.

Anyway, good job. Very complex sounds and a catchy rhythm. It's got a nice feel to it. Aside from the fundamental disagreement I so thoroughly described, you've done some fine musical craftsmanship. Don't let my review get you down.
Cheers.

Hey thanks I'm really glad you liked it
As I told the other guy, there's not much of a difference.
I just hate the size limitations because I have to kill my music like this.
Hopefully I won't have too many long songs, but it's actually starting to look that way
Thanks for the review

Author's Response:

Haha yeah it's just a bit distorted.
Sometimes I have to keep going back and forth between the NG version and the real and there's not much difference.
Thaaaanks and I'll try to keep this place updated
