Here's one a wrote for a friend of mine. It started out as my writing a little theme for a movie of his but it turned into a huge production! And it's not even done yet! Anyway lots of influences from various movies. I hope this can paint a picture in your head.

holy fuck!

my eyes are welling up, this is just so good! I thought classical music on NG was getting stale, but then I find this. Good thing I saw your tuba concerto on the front page, because I found the rest of your stuff... and I am very happy now. Sure this isn't the most original piece, but something stale when executed right can be just as amazing as a revolutionary idea. You are now added to my favorites!

Another GEM.

I just can't get enough of this track. So many different layers and amazing sounds. Again, there are two "hypnotic" sections in this song and those are my favorite parts to the song. The beginning theme/melody that begins at precisely 00:56 is so wonderful I have to keep re-listening to that part. And then the choir kicks in and... That's it. It's just so wonderful I don't have words to describe that part. But then the 2:00 minutes mark is equally beautiful. Almost too beautiful. Wow.

Thanks man! I like the main theme too! It uses the same progressions heard in many movie themes but, hey, it's a winning formula so I can't go wrong!

WTF DUDE ?!

Who the hell are you !?!? This is fantastic man. You rarely hear quality like this come out of newgrounds. I could hear this in a movie. I don't give 10/10's very often man. But you deserve it. The quality of your patches is amazing, the composition is brilliant, and it's got a real epic sound to it. There's so much power in this track man. Jesus christ this is gorgeous. Thank you for this submission man. This is pure art.
I've got to ask, what orchestral patches are you using ?

I use the EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold XP. I really need to put that on my profile so everyone can see!

I say...

Yes, I do clearly hear lots of influences from other movies, but I don't deem that an inherently bad thing. In this case, it works rather well, even though at times it almost gets too overwhelming. But, to put it in this way: I am very picky when it comes to adding people as favorites, and you have just become the third ever. I'd dare say that counts for something. I enjoyed your work with all senses, and I will undoubtable listen to this piece until my ears bleed.

Keep up the earbleedin'... err, good work, rather.
