I really don't want to talk about this one very much.

Basic summary - I came home, decided to write something a little different, set it up in 11/4 time, screwed around with a bunch of weird synth patches, and voila, this creepy-as-hell loop was born. It was unsettling to listen to for very long, so I posted it in hopes that I wouldn't have to scare myself like that again.

Nonetheless, it would fit really well in a variety of flash games. I hope someone puts it to good use.

Enjoy...

"Very nice"

date: October 27, 2009

It loops wonderfully--I tried out listening to it on repeat for a while, and it didn't get irritating or boring. In fact, it sounds like a much longer song if you don't pay too much attention.

It's also got a nice atmosphere to it, reminds me a bit of some of the music from Ergo Proxy. I was considering using it as music in a final project I'm working on for one of my classes, if that's all right.

For sure, go right ahead - and let me know how it goes.

Apologies for not responding sooner. I had problems with my computer and couldn't log in to NG for about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the review, SilverDragonGrrl.

"Different."

I really liked it, I LOVE songs that have that general feel to it, but its impossible for me to explain. It loops perfectly. and 11/4, wth? Lol, did nice with this one. However, it seems a bit empty, something is missing....

September 14, 2009

Author's Response:

Good to hear that. "something is missing"? Perhaps... but maybe it was left out intentionally... ;)
You're right, though. If I ever made this into a song, it would require me to add a little something extra.
Yes, that's right. 11/4 time. I was feeling creative.

Thanks for your response, KB1PKL.

"hm..."

date: September 2, 2009

this isn't as good as some of your others, but it leaves me thinking about some sort of shrine in the clouds, hidden by mountains. Good work, but leaves me wanting more..

Author's Response:

lol well, in a weird way I'm glad it left you wanting more (hopefully not too much). After all, this is intended as a loop (or did you listen to it with loop turned off?), and it's also meant to be just a bit unsettling. It's an atmospheric ambient piece for flash games/movies.

Thanks for the review, land0lakes.

"Not really all that creepy"

date: May 16, 2009

I wouldn't say creepy really, but then, the vocals (Are they?) Chip away at me...
Very good.

May 16, 2009

Author's Response:

Yes, those would be vocals. I discovered that I had a nice female vocal patch hidden within my refills and I messed with it a bit. I'm glad you liked it so much.

Thanks for the review, tyralpha!

"Pretty mysterious tune :D"

date: April 22, 2009

Sounds very original, I love the instrument at 0:34ish, sounds sort of middle eastern, this song reminds me of something out of 300, it would suit very nicely in a dark atmosphere like that. You should extend it further, it would blend very nicely into a more powerful section with like strong drums and percussion, as if it were like a tradgic death or the battle was lost or something. Would be perfect :D The melodies are very nice, haven't heard something in 11/4 time in a while, sounds very nice :) Good stuff mate

April 28, 2009

Author's Response:

Yeah, now that you mention it, it really might work well to bring it to a powerful climax and extend it... I'll see if I can figure anything out.

Until then, thanks for the review, Jewelz.
