This is made for the Super Nuke Bros project with more information findable

minus the spaces of course.

I've always wanted to remix FF8's The Landing song. It's a song that's been in my heart for years and I never found a good remix of it online, so when I saw this project, I said to myself "this is happening now"

After a week of hard work, and testing out some new sounds (all worth the big $$$ bill), you hear a remix of that song, The Landing. I fall flat in comparison to Nobuo's genius of course, his song is very intricate and very powerful in regards to harmony so while I am happy with how this turned out, I feel I have still not really captured the power that Nobuo would have captured. I will one day, that day is just not today :D!

The song is called The Landing because the scene where the original song plays is when these two large hovering buildings collide into each other and the enemy launches dozens of soldiers on these wicked motobikes into the air and they land on your turf. Very epic moment.

Author's Response:

the first 30 or so seconds is as faithful to the original as I could manage, the rest is just me doing my own little thing. I always love hearing my favorite game songs rendered through high quality instruments. Gives them a more hardcore vibe I can really get into it.

"Orr?"

This has a David Orr flavor to it, but it's still original. Maybe it's the snare drum.

Anyway, I love it! :3

Author's Response:

thank you Kajenx! I love the original as well as this little rendition. The snare drums are actually burrowed straight out of the original. I did my best to reproduce it I think it's faithful to it in that regard.

"Great adaptation"

date: April 16, 2009

Lol, the original is also called "the landing". I loved the FF8 soundtrack so much I got it on cd. Very nice sound andfaithful to the original piece, but of course I can't rate 10 for a remix, even awesome ones.

Author's Response:

Perfectly understandable. I take a good bit of pride for past the 30 second mark as that's largely my own rendition but I do love this song. I've heard it in my head for years, now i'm just grateful I'm able to get it out there :D!
