Picture yourself at the top of a mountain looking out across what seems to carry on forever with someone close to you. That's the sort of scenario I was going for here.

I wanted the piano sound to be quite hazy and distant but not muddy. I think I did alright (maaaaaaybe too much reverb) but do share any thoughts you have on this. I'm always looking to improve myself :)

Enjoy :)

Beautiful

Makes me happy. Almost like a modern classical piece or something. Like, it's simple without being too cliche. That's how I feel about it. Definitely a credit-roller.

I agree with the others about the repetitiveness, but I still love it.

Too kind, far too kind!

sweet

it's just lovely. it's not the most complex composition but the lonely piano speaks such a strong and personal language that I really enjoyed listening to it. I like the deep chord at 01:30. the tones are well placed and smooth in their sounding. the reverb is ok I think theres nothing to improve here. the only thing I missed where some high decent melody lines or single tones cause after listening to the piece a few times I feel like there could be more colours added.
I make this a favorite, good work.

midimachine responds:

Yeah I need to expand the range of pitches as well as the dynamics. Thanks heaps for the tips!

a scenic day indeed

The song reminds so much of what i like to with my music create a atmosphere, or story. This song or composition does exactly that. great job. like zaxure said it would be nice if you added a cello in, your choice thought.
