The full title for this song is "The Chronicles of Lizette A'Nyei Op. 1 No. 1. Flarocian Genocide."

Anyei is pronounced "Ah-Nway."

This starts out with a banjo type sound. Then becomes massively orchestral. So if you don't like the beginning sounds, I bet you will like the second half more. Here is the story behind the song.

-

It is a busy day on the planet Flaroce. For the inhabitants of this peaceful world have learned that they will be receiving visitors on this fine day. For millions of years the Flarocians have known nothing but peace, and cooperation. So it is with great glee that they prepare for their soon to come visitors. Little do they know, these visitors do not share their friendly demeanor.

As they bustle about busily a banjoman and his electro band pick up their instruments, and start playing a rousing tune to the delight of the passerby's. It is lively and energetic, to help relieve the monotony of cleaning up an entire planet. Cheerfully children run through the streets singing songs, as male and female alike attend to chores.

0:46 Oddly enough, there is a single Flarocian speaking of doom and destruction upon a box. He is a withered old man, and nobody pays him any heed. He has lost his mind many years ago, and has lost the ability to think logically and reasonably. But it is odd that this fine day he speaks of an unseen danger coming from the skies above.

The Flarocians keep to their tasks and chores for the day. Because they must prepare for their new found friends arrival!

1:23 All of a sudden a great storm sweeps in almost instantly. It brings wind, and hail, and fire from the heavens above. But the Flarocians are used to weather such as this, so they move along undaunted in their tasks.

2:05 And it happens, terror mayhem and death. Bolts of light and fire fly down from the sky. These are not storm clouds, but rather clouds of doom brought forth by the very visitors they were so busily preparing for. It seems that this encounter with a foreign race is not going quite as they had planned.

Children scream, mother's weep, and fathers raise their hands to the sky in vain as each and every peaceful Flarocian is exterminated. This is no war, nor is it a simple battle or fight. No, this is a genocide. The evil race of Narboglians has been rampaging throughout the galaxies for eons destroying all in their path. Sadly, the Flarocians have no defense.

2:40 A child, (Lizette A'Nyei,) steps outside of her home, and she sees nothing but carnage and bloodshed. There are corpses, and demolished buildings as far as the eye can see. Fires are rampant throughout the cities, and it is obvious nobody is coming out alive. The end is here, and there is no stopping it.

3:10 Suddenly she looks over and sees the Flarocian elite defenders coming to her rescue. They are no match for the Narboglian horde, but there have been escape routes planned out in case of a true emergency. One of the defenders picks her up and whisks here away from the carnage. Leaving the distant sounds of destruction and evil behind her.

This is a concept song I wrote over the last few days. I created a short story/idea, and then wrote a song around it. So the story above is the picture I am trying to portray in your head with this song. I am really pleased with how it has turned out. I had a lot of fun writing it as well.

[Edit] A lot of people are asking about the ending hits and why they fade out. They are supposed to symbolize the marching footsteps of the advancing army that A'Nyei hears as she is carried off to safety. As well as how these marching hits will be the one lasting memory that she will associate with this day the rest of her life. The images of the dead and dying, and those marching steps will be forever in the back of her mind.

There is also going to be at least one more movement to this song. (There may be several! So keep your eyes open for them!) The following movement(s) will continue the story of Lizette, and how she plans to exact revenge on the hated Narboglians.

This is absolutely awesome and the first time I have seen a purely musical story done right. If you don't mind me saying, the storyline remindsstrangely of Riddik, even though hi story was quite different. Anyways awesome job, I'm off to here the rest.

There is a friend working on something. But there are no guarantees that it will actually get completed anytime soon. Flashes are quite a lot of work to do well. ;-)

Thanks for the review.

"amazing.. just amazing."

date: September 19, 2009

As the song played out images formed in my mind, the city of Flaroce, the bustling metropolis with bustling shop owners, everyone wears a smile on their face, it's a glorious day, the sun is shining then suddenly the sun is blocked out by the giant mother ships of the Narboglians, at first no one realizes it until the missiles start falling, and like a scene out of Blitzkreig one by one the buildings fall and crumble, one by one the citizens are annihilated, then Anyei steps out, I could vividly see the carnage she saw, the bodies half burnt to a crisp by the sweeping energy weapons of the Narboglians, then as if I were seeing what Anyei saw, over the horizon the elite defenders stood, an unbroken force, they stand proud and tall yet they all of them know they wont be seeing their families ever again. One of them see's Anyei and whisks her away, carrying her on their shoulder, they tell her to close her eyes, but her curiosity takes hold and she looks back on the burning city, thousands of ships hover of it reigning down their unholy fire, rays of death and destruction, Anyei eyes widen before shutting tightly closed.

That's how it played out in my head anyway, I've never listened to music that's had that effect of me before, you've done a marvelous job here, and I can't wait for your next piece.
