It started out early this morning. Very early. More like really late, last night, come to think of it. A friend tossed me a link to a Tetris remix that a buddy of his was working on, and.. Perhaps it was something about the way the guy said it. The "I can compose music, so I am innately awesome," air he had about him. He started off by saying "I spent my afternoon programming seven drum tracks, a bass track, and two guitar tracks." Not as though he were stating simple facts, but as though he were boasting about it. Now, this is forgiveable, so long as the mix lives up to it. I listened to it.. And three things came to mind. "It's totally out of key," then, "He's decent with his guitars, but his drums are plain awful," and finally, "This is possibly the most terrible mastering I have heard in all my life."
I told my buddy that. And his response was simply.. "Do better."
And so, here I am. Half a day later. Complete mix in hand. Asking you, how well did I do? I won't link to the original song until it's officially published, so as for now.. I just hope you enjoy this one. I never thought I would get a Tetris remix done today, but.. Life's like a box of chocolates. Enjoy. :D
**EDIT** Somewhere between my computer and Newgrounds, the song seems to have developed really poor audio right at the beginning. I've just uploaded a new version that should fix that.. Hope this helps! :D
