What a sad Final Fantasy scene this was... Such powerful emotion, and good story telling. This scene will forever be one of the greatest moments in video gaming history. This is my take on Aerith's (Aeris') Theme from Final Fantasy VII, for the Sony Playstation.

Touching...

I really like this song, though I have to agree with the others - this doesn't seem like a remix. It feels like the original, and while it is entertaining to hear Nobuo's music once again, it's also good to hear originality.

I'll stress this, primarily because it's one thing that's really just... bare: Stress the melody when the strings come on. You do such a great job, but once it's the strings turn, suddenly it's all soft...

Good job by the way. Hope to hear more from you.

Realmguys responds:

I like it all soft like that, I took a lot of time and effort to mix it the way it is. I feel the original had an intrusive melody, I like it calmed down like this. Thanks for the review, youre the best! Oh and it's only a remix in that I tracked it out from scratch, I didnt change anything about the melody, mostly just dynamics. I had to rip out the old game for reference, it was alot of fun and a total blast from the past. My most fun Newgrounds audio submission to date.

Extremely worthy

Not many Final Fantasy songs have any talent put into them at all anymore. This is what got me back interested. Sounds very real. A bit repetitive, but the real song has almost that many repetitions in it, so excellent work. And by the way, you made one mistake that I see a lot of people make. Depending on whether you may have gotten lucky and stumbled on a beta version of the game, her name is Aeris. Cloud's name was also changed. I don't remember the original. If I remember, I will tell you.

Realmguys responds:

Aerith was the name of the chick in the copy I played back in 97.

Good

Happy to see some Orchestra on NG Audio, lemme give you some quick tips for next time around

-Balance your volumes out most things are a little louder than needed
-Dont just let the song keep on repeating the listener would get bored, always try and add something new

Otherwise great and I hope you get in the Top 5 this week(5/5)

Realmguys responds:

Thanks for the advice I appreciate it.

Nice

I love FF, and especially Aerith's Theme.
This was very nice to listen to, good job.
But I have one or two suggestions:
-Maybe use the piano in the first melody in the background of the second, it doesn't feel like a stop that way (I felt it like that)
-It also doesn't sound like a remix :S You could've put some of your own originality in it.
(Maybe you did, but I don't really hear it.)

Overall, VERY nice, hope to hear more ;)
MY VOTE: 4
