Alright, so this is the second project that I'm working on right now.

This is a remix of a song originally made by DukeLukeProd, named "Move On". You can find his NG profile along with the original song here (remove any spaces): http://dukelukeprod.newgr ounds.com/

So far, I'm not quite sure what else I'm going to do with it, I might take it back down, and bring it back up in another buildup, I might add another melody, I havn't decided yet, but this is as far as I've gotten so far. I love the vocals and that's pretty much why I remixed the original. I took the melody and some other ideas from the original, and I give full credit of those ideas to DukeLukeProd, so that nobody gets pissed off at me.

Enjoy.

"Good shit!!!"

Sounds very professional. All of the drums were exceptional, I have to say. And I especially love the piano melody, it's so sad.

The only things I don't like is when you put the oscillating filter on the drum track after the piano melody ends and how the end just cuts off instead of finishes.

But all in all, this was an amazing piece, very entertaining! 5/5 10/10 despite the things mentioned above!

Yea I was thinking about taking out that oscillating filter on the snare, and now I will. and maybe you didn't see, but this is a WiP (Work in Progress), so there are still many things to be fixed.

Thanks for the review!!

Really nice!

I love this man, great bass and a great beat throughout the whole thing :) Great work on basicly everything. Some of my top favorite "things" in this one has to be that it is SO well structured, and that it is very dynamic :) Everything sounds to be taken into consideration in the making, and the complete song sounds very well executed ;)

5/5

Great work man!

Thank you for your time.

I like those percussions and the groove in general, it's classic Trance but very well done! The sound is good but lacks some low-end, the BL has the same problem as the one in the last track of yours I've reviewed. Sounds like a supersaw/square - at least there's multiple oscillators detuned against each other which doesn't make a good bassline because it's much too unsteady and doesn't supply the constant "ooomph" a club track needs. you can keep the synth (remove the low frequencies though) but add another one (single osc) for the low bass.

I love the buildup (the first 2 minutes), the piano-melody also works surprisingly well for a lead synth, great idea! Looking forward to the full version!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review and the advice! I might revert back to my original idea of a kinda quiet lowpass filtered bass with a lowpass filtered offbeat bass beneath it. I'll be sure to take up your advice. And is there an actual melody for the song? Because all you had up was a snippet and I didn't know if there were any other melodies that go with the song. If you could put up a full version of the song that would be extremely helpful on my part.
