For some reason the cello got me thinking of olden days
and somehow that kinda turned into a hiphop-ish beat

btw if you think you coudl throw some vox on here or a rap feel free to send me something!

Great!

A very swift track this is, at least it starts off that way, filled with ambience, good base beat and swerving flow, the cello kinda cuts a big wound in the ambience, the melody itself is great but the sound is just to sharp to fit in with the background, needs to be wider, flatter, less edgy, if you know what I mean. Keep up the great work!

DjRin responds:

ah so your thinkin' i shoulda focused on the ambient mood more? =] i shall attempt to do this, i haven't really made any straight up full on ambient tracks yet. I got this one called 'the turtle' i'll upload it sometime, its as close to ambient as i got i think.
=]
about the cello vs the techno sound that's playing the same part. you think i should jus cut that all out or get a softer instrument to play the part or what?

oh and as always, domo arigato gozaimasu =] for the feedback. always appreciated!

A pretty good piece overall, but...

This song has a very harsh beginning. Rather than attracting attention, it pulls away from the piece dramatically. The song is definitely unique in its nature. Still, some of the sound choices you picked for this piece can be rather harsh on the ears.

The rhythm and pacing of this song are really nice, but they're FAR too overpowering for their own good. After extensively listening to the song for a while, the listener's ears will begin to hurt because of the nature of the loud high pitched sounds. I would recommend toning down the "waterdrop" or "star" like sound.

It'd also be a plus if you can "smooth" out the sound of the tuba like sound a little more in the beginning, because it is drawing far too much attention to itself and I'm relatively sure that was not your intention.

7 out of 10, because of some of the potential damage this song can do to the ears in the long run.

DjRin responds:

ah thanks bro :) this is what I needed haha
maybe i'll take another run at this song sometime, and look out for peoples ears :)

you think the whole mix of instruments can still work or should I just switch it up all together? One of my friends wanted to drop the main cello part (the main hook i guess you'd call it) and just straight up techno saw or something synthy.

=] feedback is awesome bro, i appriciate the time. also, if you got some more time, could you tell me what you think of my track called epic? so far locally thats the crowd favorite, so if you care to give it a listen and tell me what ya think i'd priciate.
thx again bro
