Hey again! My good friend aby (she's angelkoh here in newgrounds) is making an animation valentine themed and asked me to make music to go along with four scenes.
Despite it's for a valentine animation, the song has a theme of lonelyness, fear, sadness, depression, etc. I'm sure you'll get this isn't the "typical" valentine animation we're used to see :P (hehe if you check her page you'll get her style)
Btw she hasn't finished the animation yet, and said it's gonna take some more time, but we'll let you know when it's done.
So back on the piece, this is the first time I made this style of music, the two more important things were making it scary and depressive, and I think I succeeded more at the second one, I'm sure you'll notice it sounds way more depressive than scary. Also this is my longest piece to date! wow 7:26 minutes, you can imagine how was the recording, sometimes making mistakes at the middle having to restart all over again, hehe I even missed one note at the end, ended up with a headbutt in the clavinova and had to restart the recording =P
It was fun making this, I had only a weekend since I found out in friday and needed to have it for tuesday, but the first two times I just was playing trying to come up with something, the last day was when I worked more time, since I had all the melodies i wanted, I took time to make me feel down to play it correctly, and join all the melodies I had so it turns out in only one piece.
Well, here's the scenes parts:
1. (00:00 - 02:50): That's the murder scene, with a girl killed and an insane man laughing. but it's split in two parts:
- 00:00 - 01:18 (the murderer point of view, kind of chaotic and strong)
- 01:18 - 02:50 (the point of view from the girl's eyes, while she's dying, very deppresive, sad)
2. (02:50 - 4:15): The scene with a girl running away from the killer (starts slow, like she doesn't have strength, but her fear keeps making her run, and starts to speed up)
3. (04:15 - 05:32): The scene with another girl who got kidnap (I kind of thought of a girl tied up and crying knowing she is gonna die, but thinking what the villain was gonna do with her and getting hopeless for not counting with anyone)
4. (05:32 - 7:26): The ending (Starts like 01:18 but changes a little at 06:02 - 06:30 to stop the monotony then goes to the final notes)
Hehe, to make it short, it's a very sad tune in all scenes.
