This one is probably not finished yet. There are still a few things I want to add or change, such as adding in a bit of a bass solo and lengthening it by making little spin-out phrases, cutting, adding, etc, etc, etc.

But enough of what I want it to be.

I made this one based on an improvisation I played on my piano about 8 months ago. Since then it's been completely transformed - twice. I kinda enjoy listening to it, personally. The name is just what I thought it originally sounded like - even though it sounds nothing like the original now, I think it still sorta fits.

Please feel free to review this.

sounded cool

Good job with this one man, really enjoyed listening to this one. The music kind of reminded me of the music they would play in Seinfeld during a transitioning sequence, or was that just me? The melody here was good, very catchy and ear-pleasing, really made the song a pleasure to listen to. The beat here was good as well, not very loud because it was under the melody the whole time, but was still audible, good job with taht. Excelletn job here man, 5/5 from me, keep up the good work! :)

XD I think you're right, a little bit. It does sound a little like the music they played during seinfeld's transitioning sequences. I never heard that in this one before.

I'm glad you enjoyed this... Really weird that this song suddenly got 3 reviews within a week of each other after a period of several months where it didn't get reviewed at all... I was sure this one was dead on NG, but apparently not. o _0

In any case, thanks for the review, JKMonkey. Check out some of my newer stuff if you're up to it. I think you'd find some of that really enjoyable.

Nice and Mellow

It sounds nice and relaxing, overall a good tune and well put together :D

ObsidianSnow responds:

Cool, thanks for the review, KuroSenpaiAtM.

This was the first full song I released on Newgrounds - you should check out some of my more recent submissions (submissions with [OS] in front of the title). I think you'd find them enjoyable as well.

yays makes me happy

I really liked this piece, I'm pretty sure that once school kicks in I'll be using it for homework xD

It's really a wonderful tune, keep up the good work. (ahem, GOD work)

my only complaint is that you can tell the drums are computer-generated, and that gives you the rest of the feel (even though you already know) that it is a computer-created song (which is not a bad thing!).. It seems like if it was jazz the drums would be a bit smoother, but other than that you have made a really incredible song!

thank you.

I'll check out your other stuff. ^^

ObsidianSnow responds:

I definitely know what you mean by the computer-generated sound. In a wierd way I think it works for this song... but at the same time I want to know what it would sound like with a more realistic sound. This was actually the first full piece I ever did in reason, so that would explain the lack of mastering. ;P

If you want to use this for anything, go right ahead.

You seem to be looking at the jazzy stuff, so I would recommend looking at "Pseudonym".

Thanks for the review, DJland0!

I love it.

if there was a story to this piece, the first one that pops to mind is Petrushka's first act when the puppet comes to life and starts dancing. I just cant get enough of the bass and the jazzy piano, it seems to me that it could do a little longer get to know the characters better and such. I also think that the piano could be a little stronger, and a bit more bold. hahah just my person taste i guess but great work i love it.

ObsidianSnow responds:

I don't think I'm familiar with Petrushka. I'll have to look it up and see what you're talking about, because chances are you're right.

lol this is one of the first things I made with Reason, so I wasn't really good enough to master it properly or make it very long... Maybe I'll come back to this one and polish it up for you sometime - I know I'd like to hear a more complete version of this as well.

I'm glad you liked it so much, and thanks for the review, Tony!
