"Good, but not great"

I really liked the lava land sounds and drums (especially at around 00:17), but most of the other things, especially the scratching, kept distracting me.
It's still good enough to warrant a 4/5, and I do think that it's better than most of the other Mario remixes. It just isn't quite enough.
I'd love to see a version of this that focuses more on the non-vocal samples.
