Ever played Dark Alliance: Baldur's Gate?
If you haven't, you won't recognize this.

There is a tavern behind the walls of Baldur's Gate; the Elfsong Tavern is it's name.
Inside its walls there is a secret; A heartbroken woman--long ago passed from this world--waiting for the triumphant return of her lover, a Solider of Baldur's Gate.
Every night she breathes deep and serenades herself into a lull with the lonely song of a broken heart.
And all the townspeople listen in awe and admiration of the eternal--and devastating--bonds love can forge.

'nuff said.

brings back memories

the first baldur's gate game was the first rpg for computer with a whole new world... sure the games for snes are still a treasure like evermore, lufia, secret of mana ecc. but baldur's gate.. damn it was the start of something new and this reminds me of that time.
Thanks alisa ^^

Wow does this bring back memories

I remember when I played Baldur's Gate a long time ago on the PS2, was such an amazing game to play with my friends together in Co-Op. I love how you added the techno to the Town Square, its just totally amazing! This makes me wanna go back and play my mage again, heh. Just to bad none of my freinds play it again, they're all out playing TES: Skyrim nowdays... :T

ellebirdy23 responds:

No kidding. All my friends are "Skyrim"ing too :D

Thanks for the support! :D

very interesting

i started listening to your music with the "Hym of Faith" and started soing back from there. i must say you have to be one of the best remixers here. although i would love to see more originals "hint hint"

the melody is so close to the game i can begin to remember my character... ahhh... good times and the transitions of the different melodic parts to different kept the music both from being tedious and the sense of "oh its coming again?" amazing job on that.

you are now one of my favorite audio mixers on here congrats (only one other person can say that (although i dont think it matters to much anyway (yea i digress)))

love the music

ellebirdy23 responds:

Oh it matters ^_^
Thanks for all the compliments and the listens. It's good to know I've got a following; makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

and of course, thanks for that lovely 10 :D

Music has a story...

On the outside, this is a simple game song that I chose to have a quick listen to.
Then I read your description.
To me, music has never had much effect unless it has a story behind it. After all, music comes from our joy and our sorrow, such as the Hymn of the Fayth - something that kinda summarises the beauty and sorrow of Spira. And the same applies to this song.

ellebirdy23 responds:

If you haven't already, you should hear the real version with the vocals; it's just...sorrowful.

this is really well done, was my fave song in game. gj keep it up :), i dunno but this also reminds me of a see-saw song, like something from .hack//sign.

ellebirdy23 responds:

Lol well I choose to take that as a compliment ^_^

Thanks for listening!
