This song is written and recorded by the Belgian black metal band Winterblind (bad recording but could be worse)

good

drums need to be tighter and the rasp vocals are a tad to loud in the mix, i do like the lo-fi production and the clean vocals remind me alittle of negura bunget, the music sounds kinda like a mix of in the signs era dark funeral but slower, and a splash of tridant aristocrat era furze, iv been listening to black metal for most of my life and from a long time fan its not bad but they will have to really take it up a notch to stand toe to toe with some of the black metal underground elite but its still good enough for me to keep an eye out, after all this is only a demo

Extremely well done

well done the slow guitar at the beginning really builds up the tension.

Sinister stuff

I really liked it. Definitely a very bleak representation of sound. I understand that a lot of black metal bands favor a more raw recording and while I prefer a more refined recording, I think this one fits well. The only nitpick I have is with the intro. While the intro is very good, the transition from acoustic to distortion leave something to be desired. It seams like the intro is building up to something epic but when the distortion hits it feels a bit weak. I really enjoyed it though. I dont get the chance to hear stuff this sinister often enough in the ap.

Not Bad

Nothing too original or special, but not entirely generic. I liked the ambient beginning. I didn't really like they way the vocals were recorded. Bad production can work well or be fine, but the production on the vocals just sounds downright crappy. I listen to a lot of underground forms of music so I've heard a lot of dirty recordings, but sometimes it just sounds bad, not necessarily because of the grunginess. The production worked alright for the rest of the song.
