Captain's Entry #45

I dreamed that awoke shipwrecked and alone. Couldn't remember who or where I was. So much damn fog. Then I saw her. On a rock, just a ways past shore. A woman...but more than a woman. I pray no one reads this as they'll think I've lost my mind. I swear on my life she had...a sort of tail, where her legs and feet should be. As my gaze wandered to the woman's face, my heart stopped. And, as if on cue, so did the world around me. Then, she opened her mouth and sang. No language these ears have ever encountered, and I've traveled the world. But it didn't matter, I knew it was my song. Beautiful, haunting, seducing, my song. Even now, as I write, the melody echoes through my mind. This, my song.

"Woah, very nice!"

I didn't know what to expect, but I'm glad I got a great, heartfelt song! You didn't need any flashy or action-like tunes to make something really great. It was even nice to read your short story that was set to this song. You really need to put this into a flash using this song of course. I'm glad I was able to listen to this, and take note of its gracefulness. While my idea of love isn't finding a woman with a tail instead of legs, you sure know how to set a good mood.

"Beautiful!"

I love the melancholic, and yet hopeful, flow of the piano in this song. As the song played, I read your comments, and I could easily see the Captain's story playing out. The mixture of emotions, the sheer astonishment of the sight he beheld, the beauty of the Siren's voice. All of it was there.

A very brilliant tune, my friend. A story in itself!

5 out of 5, 10 out of 10, and I've just added you and this song to my favorites. I hope to hear more from you in the future. :)

this is brilliant.

You know Ive always wanted to try writing a song in this mood but strangely i find it hard to do so.

You however have perfected this!

reminds me a lot of thomas newman near the end and i absolutely love that.

rather strange chords. :D

I've got this feeling again. That feeling I get when something touches me the way a piece of art should. And I give 10's to the things that manage to touch me like this. "Even now, as a write, the melody echos through my mind." I couln't have said it better myself, nyaan.
