This is my second submission to the MAC9 - VaLOLtines competition.

Its about sitting outside with that special someone enjoying the stars and each other. My girlfriend pointed out to me that on Valentines Day its only about two people, so this song only contains two instrument tracks: one piano and one guitar. She also provided the vocals so therefore of course I will be dedicating this song to her!

The heartbeat is real, although its not mine.

Enjoy and please review if you like, youll get one back.

awesome!

aww, this sucks! my first review on your other song i used stargazing as my relaxing thought, when this suits it better! like you say in ur comments, its definitly meant for two. loved it, 10/10, 5/5

curriemaster responds:

LMAO its OK man I understand. The ambient sound effects used in this song are some environmental recordings taken from nighttime in France so I can see why this one might be more suitable for stargazing ;). Glad you liked the song and thanks a lot for taking the time to review another one :D.

Beautiful :)

This is just beautiful. I don't come here to Newgrounds very often because it just seems that everyone just makes techno or heavy metal songs in here... And I don't like neither of those genres.
I've heard 3 songs of yours. This one, Rose Coloured Hindsight and Not Everyone Has A Girldfriend. I really like them all (Mostly this one... Beautiful:) ), but I just don't feel like checking all your songs one by one here at Newgrounds.
So, is there a way I can get a Zip or Rar file with lots of your songs?? :) That would be awesome. For what I've head your truly talented and I want to listen to more!

Great Job

Erik

curriemaster responds:

Hi there thanks a lot for the review, glad you enjoyed the song so much :)

I dont have a .zip or .rar of my songs posted anywhere but what you can do is go to my other site www. soundclick.com/curriemaster (remove the space) and click "play all" from the top right. That will let all of my tracks play through continuously instead of having to go to different pages on NG.

Thanks again!

awwwwwwwww

how nice to hear you again matey, ive just clicked the tune haha, tis boyzone, you say it best when you say nothing at all hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Awesome finger play though, i'm VVVVVVVVVVVV there somewhere you're ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ somewhere when it comes to guitar play, who are the lil vocal sounds from? they add a touch of elegance to the already tranquil soundset. I see someone is getting his vsts as well, good to know. There is some slight errors noticeably only and only because of the reverb setting, they exacerbate the slight picking errors making something which would be inaudible into an audible 'twang'. It's wonderful and all it needs is a full vocal over it to make it truly stand out. peace and hugs

pitters

curriemaster responds:

Hey man cheers for the comments and great to see you out and about again! This is song is soooo fuuuuucking cheeeesy but its really grown on me. To be honest everyone else seems to prefer my other Valentines submission but this one is totally Boyzone bebbe woooo!

Aye I do make a few minor mistakes and the reverb does some weird harmonic/ringing shit that I didnt notice at first when I was mixing down...not really sure how to eliminate that as I like the reverb throughout the rest of the song...if you have any suggestions id be happy to listen. My girlfriend did the vocals, she basically gave me the idea (and by that I mean order) for this tune saying "it should be only two instruments and I will whisper some french on it". And that was that.

Maybe this could do with a lengthening and some full vocals as you suggest. I would need some help with that though ;)

Thanks a lot for the review man and good to see you back, ciaoder

hmmm

Kinda short. I def. felt the love. Again great acoustic job. Like the crickets and heartbeats %uF04A Thought the piano could use some work. And were you guys speaking English? Anyway, it's a good song, but I think rose-coloured hindsight def. was the btr piece of the two. 4/5 8.5/10

curriemaster responds:

It was a bit short, sort of by design ans sort of because when I recorded the guitar with longer parts it didnt fit.

Basically this was my second submission and I wanted it to be very different from the first (Rose-Coloured Hindsight). I also wanted it to be very simple: simple instruments, simple arrangement and simple composition. As I said in the comments above I was kind of going for a duet sort of feel to try and describe the relationship between two people.

Its not English, its French...my girlfriend is whispering "Je t'aime toujours" = "I love you always" and "Ecoutez...la musique..." = "Listen...the music...". Im not sure if I executed the vocals perfectly tbh but I think theyre pretty good.

Personally I like listening to this on NG because I can leave it on repeat when surfing the interwebs...I find it really peaceful and of course my gf is whispering to me the whole time :P. Thanks again for the comments :)!
