NIce Piano Usage!

The piano raged through the entire song, kind of overshadowed the rest of the song, but I really like it that way, I suppose. Otherwise, really, well done!
Great job!

Good Piano

I will say right now that my fav part is the transition at 1:32. Real nice.

Like others have said. This is a real sweet melody based piece.
I maybe would have liked to see you mix things up with a little more layer with other instruments, but sometimes simplicity is best.

I think that the percussion sounds that you used were pretty weak. sorry
It's a pretty cool song though, keep it up.

8/10 , 4/5

SessileNomad responds:

yeah i made this quite a long time ago, so i wasnt to great at pumpin up the bass, i def. should have amped that jive up, but what is done is done

actually im working on another peice similar to this, and im pretty sure im gona try out horn and violins as part of the leads along with piano, so diversity should be an all around thing in that one

thats for the review, i really appreciate it

peace out

Damn is all I can say man.

I like the piano line a lot, its fucking hot. But I hate the the drums you're using, they don't fit well in the DnB atmoshpere. Also, the drum patterns are very strange for DnB.

Keep it up bro, you've earned my respect.

SessileNomad responds:

thanks, and yeah i could see how one might not think the drums fit very well with the dnb genre as a whole, you see im a trance/techno artist generally, so its not a surprise to me really that i used trancy drums for my beats

i kinda tried to break the mold of the standard dnb stuff that i hear alot

i will keep it up, and if respect is earned, than my job here is done

thx for reviewing, peace out

Piano

I love the transition from Ambient to Drum'N'Bass @ 00:46.
And my favourite part is from 01:55 on, where the drums accompany the piano notes in a totally awesome way. :D

Good stuff.^^

PS: Something confuses me about the title. The series is called "SONS of the Exodus" but If I remember correctly, Procne was one of king Pandion's daughters in the Greek mythology. On the other hand Procne could be a gender neutral name, I'm not sure...^^

Anyways,
9/10

SessileNomad responds:

yeah its called sons, but the names after that have nothing to do with anything except a game called golden sun, Boreas and Procne are two of many summons you can do in that game

and yeah your right on procne and greek mythology

:)

Good Work

Yeah i agree i though it was going to be a trance song lol. But the piano is awsome, that must have taken ages to do. And i like how you sort of had a break down near the middle of the song and then the piano went balistic. and also i think you changed key near 2.00 that was good. If you want to improve, you should work on a main melody that people can remember. It can seem a bit hecktic sometimes with the piano. The drums were very professionally done. All in all, a good song and i think you spent alot of time on it. Which is good, i always rush lol. Anyway if you want to rate mine now go ahead. Rate the good one lol. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/208271

SessileNomad responds:

yeah i realized after making the second one that niether the first or second really have a chorus, lol

idk i made this based on a story i thought up, and each different piano riff is like a different scene in the story, thats how i looked at this series when i first started it

ill check out your peice

thx for review, peace
