This is the first medieval-like song that I have ever written, and I have to say that I had a lot of fun making it. It also works as a loop, so it could be a good background tune for flashes.

It has an renaissance feeling to it i like it

Hades responds:

Interesting opinion, definitely better than most of the people who insist on the "oriental" feeling. But then, I guess that's my fault for making this song the way it is, isn't it? ;D Thanks for the comment!

Great one.

Great tune, has this j-rpg'ish kind of tone. It reminds me of certain musical themes from FF8, really.

Hades responds:

FF8? I think I know which ones you're talking about, and thanks a lot for the comparison with Uematsu's work. ;D

I really love your style.. very simple, and it gets you imagining a lot of different scenarios where this song would fit in... it does start of on an eastern tone, but it is true when the flute kicks in, you really get that medieval feel GOOD JOB :)

Hades responds:

I guess you could say that this song could be interpreted in a wide variety of images, so yeah, it would probably fit a whole lot of different scenarios! Thanks for your comment, and the encouragement!

i love it

i can see why everyone thinks it's eastern. Like you had said the Mandolin sounds Koto-ish, but it's also the tone, pretty much any song you write in that key will sound eastern. but when you threw in the flute i could really feel the midieval.
it's a wonderful piece.

Hades responds:

Yes, you could say that the flute flips the song to a slightly more medieval direction, but I'm actually kinda surprised that no-one noticed the guitar layer that kicks in in the same time as the bass. I thought it would be enough to reduce the koto-like feel, but yeah... Thanks a lot for your review, I appreciate it!
