I make this track as a soundtrack for the game mod creating by our command - "dot.XYDO International". This track will be an anthem for German Empire.

P.S.: It's a BG music, so don't tell me it's too simple, because it must be simple)

Hope you'll like it! Leave your comments and advices here, I'll check it out with pleasure. ^_^

"Gentlemen, we march to war!"

by: Coop83
date: August 23, 2009

A nicely morbid tune, this has a deep sense of foreboding for the war that seems inevitable, as I get a deep sense of troops being mobilised and making their way to a field of strife, ready to fight for what they believe. Though with a name like Imperium, they could just be mobilising to crush some sort of rebellion under their mighty heels.

A good steady drum beat, very reminiscent of the US Civil War / War of Independence, with the drummer boys keeping the army's marching pace steady. I like the way that the futuristic beat comes in and takes over, symbolising the scale of Empires past, progressing to Empires future.

"Nice and simple"

date: August 22, 2009

This fits pretty good as a background theme. It's not too distracting but yet gives the player something to listen to while he's playing.

Might get a little bit too repititve after a while, though.

I really liked the voices you used at the beginning, even though they are a bit hard to understand, even for me (german is my native language ;) ).
I think there are some grammatical errors in it as well, but I don't want to be like a teacher here. The voices fit pretty good to the music, that's all what counts.

"Well-made"

date: August 22, 2009

===============
Score: 8 / 10
Summary: Well-made
Review: This would fit perfectly as background music.

I pretty much like the whole song, with the possible exception of the instrument that comes in around 0:40. It just doesn't really fit in with the feel of the song.

It's got the war-feel over it, and I guess that's what you wanted, and you made that happen. well done! Sadly, it is a little repetitive. Even if it's bg-music, it needs to change once in a while, so you should absolutely do something about that.

Intro was a great build-up to the start of the song, and transitions were exquisite. However, the ending wasn't very good. If this is background-music that'll play all throughout a game, it will prbably loop, so you should look at that.

Good instruments, and a nice usage of a voice in there. Could possibly use it even more, but it isn't necessary at all, it'd just make the song a little cooler.

"Too repetitive"

date: August 21, 2009

Quite a good song, and would make some good background music, but it's too repetitive for my tastes.

The melody was pretty good, and gave the 'war feeling' out. The instruments used weren't bad, but the one that came in at 0:36 bothered me a little. This needs more brass as well, in my opinion. Also, it's too repetitive. The melody barely changed, and it started to get a little annoying. I think the melody should be a little more mighty, it was too quiet, and more varied. On the other hand, the voices were great.

Transitions were great; nothing to complain. The intro was good too, and it built up quite well. The ending, as Fro said, was too abrupt. It was too sudden, the note it ended in wasn't right and was too short.

Drums were fine, and the drum samples were good, but the drums were very repetitive. You should add some fast snares in some part, and change the complexity a little in other parts. Yes, it is background music, but the drum hitting every 1 beat would get very annoying for the person who's playing the game it's in. Also, you should make some small parts where you remove the drums from the song, so that the drums won't get too monotonous.

To summarize it, this has good melodies and most of the instruments were fine, but it was extremely repetitive and it felt like copy and paste throughout the whole song.

Lol, the infamous Sirtom reviewed this. XD

The voice in this submission really works well, but I think you could have used a bit more voice to make the submission a tad bit better. Good background music as you say and it seems like it could be used for many different things if somebody wanted to use it in a flash, but it is a tad bit repetitive. Changing up the beat every now and then would have made it sound a tad bit better.

Perhaps working on the ending a little bit would have made it a little better also as it just kind of suddenly stops after being repetitive for quite awhile. In my opinion the best part was the introduction.
