So here's a track I've been working on for a while.

Its a remix of Grissom and Stokes, "I Get A Rush"

If it sounds familiar, thats because TMM43 also remixed this song.

(It can be heard here: http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/165361

In fact, I heard his version first, and fell in love with it, so I just had to hear the original, which I loved equally as much. It was at that point that I decided I wanted to do my own version.

The part I would have to say I'm most proud of in this track is the cello sound, which took A LOT of work to get sounding right, I went through tons of soundfonts, and none of them sounded any good, so I settled for Squidfont, and applied LOADS of effects to it.

I think I also managed to do a pretty clear, and smooth mix / master job (I must thank Soundgoodiser for a lot of help in that department.)

So please, enjoy, and leave a review!

Good, but sounds a bit incomplete

it is a very good song indeed, you always gave the song something new instead of repeating the same beat over and over. For a 6:22m song it is filled with energy and power. At 1:50 everything settles down and right at the moment I know something epic is going to happen, I like that ambient sounding pads and snare. When the main lead stops and plays again, it sounds wierd to me because I expected some sort of delay or reverb or something to trail it off. At the end of the song I was also hoping for something new to happen, maybe a lead playing one octave higher to give it that steady increase in energy. But no worries you made an excellent remix. Everything is smooth and good to the ear for a listen. I am not sure of you mastering and mixing skills but maybe you should try to control some of the sounds being played, at times I hear distortion, or maybe that is just the kickass saws being played together. Overall, great song, great remix, hope to hear from you.

Well... it's good

First of all, way too many breakdowns with no beat there. It works tho.

EVERYTHING fits. I'm amazed at all the effort and automation that went into this. \

Great song.

Nice work

So I basically already loved this song. It's probably one of my favorites.

So You would have chances are got a 10 from me anyways just for attempting to remix this but since its really good anyways well yeah you still get a 10.

I like the build up. starts around 3:00 I have to say I really enjoyed the cool lead effect thing you did there.

I and really like the faster melody around 4:30!. Sounds awesome.

Yeah so I don't have my head phones so I don't really have any advice. But it sounds good from here anyways.

Awesome job!!!

Have A Great Day!

Sweet one

Yo I dont really listen to too much music like this but I enjoyed this song. The bassline is very driving and has some great filtering. The choppy strings also give nice accents throughout. When the melody comes in at 1:20 it feels very satisfying...I guess thats why the chick gives a little "oh...".

Again at 3:22...very pleasing sound as the beats all come back in together. Nice samples, nice production, nice arrangement. I like it! Good work 5/5.

And thanks for the comment about the cello, because that took a long time to get sounding right!
