My original version of this song can be found at:

it's kinda neat to hear just how much Jeff farley improved it.

Now, this has quite a story behind it:
I loved this song back when I first saw 'Silence of the Lambs', but forgot about it until I heard it again in GTA4. I was making a version of it, when I heard the opening of a cover of Brian Eno's 'Golden Hours' done by a band called Astrobleme, which sounded a lot like the opening of 'Goodbye Horses', so I sampled it. When I finished the song, just to be polite, I sent it to the band , and they were nice enough to send me back a remix of what I made, along with an offer to do a more in depth remix if I sent them my individual tracks. Of course I took them up on the offer and learned that the man making these remixes was named Jeff Farley, who also is part of the band FrozenPlastic (which makes beatiful music, as does Astrobleme).

Anyway, this song is the result of me sending my multitracks to Jeff Farley. I feel it is the ultimate musical triumph which I can never topple. Also, as this marks my 100th submission to the Audio Portal, this is the perfect place to stop. I've had a great run and greatly enjoyed all the feedback and comments I recieved over the years.

Also, please listen to more of Jeff's music at lowartmusic.com. It's awesome.

Well, thanks. I only wish I couldtake more credit for this remix, but most of the cool shit wasn't my doing.

Totally love it.. Great atmosphere. The singing is really good too. Kind of reminds me of Joy Division, but with a lot more cheerfullness.. Splendid. Cool Lyrics too

Thanks for the awesome review! I really can't take very much credit for how cool this song is, as most of the best parts were made by Jeff Farley.
If you like this, check out Jeff Farley's other stuff. His band Astrobleme did an awesome cover of 'Dead Souls'. It's at www.lowartmusic.com
