Here's that short review you wanted...

...Gah, this 'short review' thing is ruining my reputation of monster reviews, lol :P. But oh well, it's the least I can do for you deciding to actually review ALL of my submissions, so here goes :).

This has some very cool riffs, and it's well varied, but unfortunately it sounds very random, with quite a few rough transitions and rhythm changes coming out of nowhere. I think a more solid structure would make this song benefit quite a bit. For example, the transitions at 1:08, 1:37, 1:42, 2:28 and 2:57 are pretty weird transitions, and there are other parts in the song where powerful guitar notes sort of come out of nowhere, making this song sound a bit like a collection of catchy guitar riffs and not a well-structured song.

On the other hand, the variety was great, I loved the intro and the way it turned from 8-bit to heavy metal with cool drum beats, and speaking of the drum beats they were awesome, and the drum samples were great. Basically my only complaints are the lack of structure, weird transitions, oh, and yeah, it's loud, but you explained why so I can't complain :P. Not a bad job in general.

So this is what it feels like writing short reviews xD.

Chronamut responds:

lol ironically the original of this song IS as random as what you hear - that's simply the wonderfulness of earthbound is its random mashup of sounds in their songs :)

glad ou liked it though :)

thanks for the review!

Actually...

this isn't even the final boss battle song. This is Pokey Means business but for some reason everyone always says this is the Giygas song. It isn't. The song after this one where Giygas is the onyl on the screen is the true theme. Although this isn't titled correctly I'll still give it the full review it deserves.

Guitar: Really enjoy how the riff sounds, pretty snazzy riff and no solos makes it straight forward and amazing.

Bass guitar: Sounds nice even though it isn't really audible.

Drums: Really simple beat, nice job.

Overall: No improving needed on this song, just correct the title and it's all good and sparkly like a new toy. Nice piece of work.
