This is a track from a series of remakes from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

its the first remake of the group. Within all of them I attempted to add as many real world instruments with the exception of some synth material here and there.

enjoy.

Wow.... like.... wow. Never heard a take on the Forest Temple like this. All those instruments replacing the other sort of sounds from the original. It seems to make it ever the more haunted sounding, like the instruments are possessed by ghosts. I love the gradual buildup, and the chords are just right to give you that cold chill... if the first few seconds of the piece didn't already. Fantastic work.

New takes

As you said in your description, "Within all of them I attempted to add as many real world instruments with the exception of some synth material here and there." I believe that you did a very daring risk and it indeed payed off. The original song used more electronic sounds and that took away most of the feeling of the eeriness. Your remake, however, took the more tribal and playful sounds to pull you into the temple itself. When I listen, the beginning really does make it sound like the four Poe Sisters are revolving around me, snickering. After the intro, the percussion and winds kick in, this sets in not only more eeriness, but a sense a Kokiri curiosity.
I am really enjoying the song, it takes me through all the stages of the temple and has a lovely strength which compliments it. No sound is too quiet or too loud. I have to give this an honest perfect.

This song is interesting

It adds a whole new dimension to the song. It's not as relaxing as the original, but it's much more mysterious, wich is not a bad thing. Good work on this.

Suezo responds:

thanks,

one nice thing about this piece was the use of panning. I think it may be adding that sense of mystery you speak of not knowing exactly where some of the sounds are coming (or going.)

haven't had a review on this one in a good bit...

cool,
