This is my first entry for Mac9 Jan/Feb Valoltines Audio Contest.

This is composed as a reprise to the simliar melody heard in "Desert Montage" It's meant to be in the same movie. Whereas "Desert Montage" conveyed a journey through, obiously, a desert, for this one, imagine two young lovers enjoying a night together before one is sent off to battle. These two scenes can easily be in the same movie.

"Very strong"

Well done sir. My only frustration is the lower tones of the winds coming in towards the end. To me is messes with the mood of the rising strings, but... I guess you kind of lean on the Zimmer side and I'd rather hear the Horner side. Well done though sir. Big fan of the tempo and the way you've made this progression interesting.

Hey kewl. I was actually thinking of Horner when I decided to switch the main instrument from guitar to Piano at the end... ;) Ironic eh ? lol

"Wonderful song..."

Since everyone else seems to be telling a story, might as well tell mine...

A guy and a girl have been great friends for ages The guys is off at college, while the girl is at high school still for one more year. Over winter break, they make plans to meet again, and reminisce. But each time the plans fall through until finally it's the night before the guys has to leave again. Desperate, the guy calls the girl in almost the middle of the night, and for hours they talk, just like they used, about what they were doing, what they had done, and what they hoped would come. And as dawn drew ever closer, the conversation became quieter, and the pauses drew longer. Both wanted desperately to say what they felt for each other, what they had been feeling for a long time. And, finally, at the same time, they both say it. "I love you." Time is short, but after saying this, they spend a final few minutes talking to each other, sharing everything. And, as the sun rises, they say goodbye, and go back to their separate worlds for the time being.

Anyway, that's what the song made me think of. Wonderful, beautiful song, and I would love to hear an extended version sometime if you have the chance or the inspiration. I'll have to listen to all your other work soon!

P.S. Totally a true story.

dude what you did hear is an amazing peice that could fit in a movie(story) that went like this. a long time ago there was a great war the captain of the rebellion army was going away to war he himself did not want to leave because he was afraid of leaving his lover in which he would say he would return from the war( he was passionate) but after the war..... he had been killed he had saxraficed his life for his lover to live on in peace and harmony but after the funeral there was a letter dated the day before he had died... the letter said may you live on with your life and do not regret or be haunted if i do not return this flower is for you my love... if i do not come back his will be the only peice of me left to give your i am sorry but... i must go and after reading that his lover charreshed that letter and flower till she had died.

One amazing story man. I keep on saying, some of these stories people have been posting should be made into flash films.
