Hello everyone =D
Ok, this is it. This is my biggest song ever. It's taken SO long, and there's been a lot of soul poured into this one. So first things first.
Thank you's:
The biggest thank you is to Lira Yin, an amazing trance vocalist, who was patient with my every dictation to her, and ended up helping me create something great.

To Kazm0, for allowing me to use one of his instruments, which I later edited.

To Iridium, for his amazing style of trance writing that influences me (and influences me more so to take some of his samples sometimes and edit them ever so slightly!)

To Michael, my soulmate. Thank you for listening, offering advice, and being the love of my life.

To all my listeners, that help me to believe in myself, and to let me continue creating trance music offering advice all of the time.

This track took an effort of around 100 hours of my time, spaced over the period of one and a half months. This also took a good long time from Lira's side, and she is a great friend to me simply for helping me out so much.

Bit on the technical side:
This track has 40 automation clips, 22 FX Channels, 56 patterns and runs at 138BPM, it's also 8:07. Some instruments are made with Nexus, and some with TS404, 3x OSC etc.

The full title track is -
Down To Earth - Brittany Barrett & Lira Yin and I believe is the first collaboration between two girls on this website concerning trance.

OK, so the usual remarks now. Please, vote fairly, recommend to friends, favourite me as an artist, and live me some constructive criticism!
The second version of Down To Earth will be placed on my album in WAV quality, and will have some slight editing based upon what people say about it here.

Anyways, that's enough from me, I'm going to go have a life again for a little while, then come back to write more for you!
Enjoy the song =)
Brittany (Fierra)

Note:
Thank you all for allowing this to reach #4 on top 30 =) I'm glad that Mine and Lira's track has soared to the top, and it's thanks to you as the listener. I also want to thank Lira again, for helping me create this great song. The full quality version is www.thegameengine.co.uk/b rittany/downtoearth.mp3 and PLEASE visit Lira's Myspace, www.myspace.com/lirayin . Okay all, enjoy my music, and watch out for some new tracks soon!

The most professional track on NG I've heard

There's just so many things that you have done well with this track. First of all the vocals -- they are great! The main melody is just incredible!!! But the best thing about this track is that it's so well balanced!
The first time I heard this song was in 2009 and I have to say that it's still your best track! Your style has evolved since, but I still prefer this track over all others.

BTW, who are your favourite artist? Where do you get your inspiration?

Fierra responds:

Thank you very much, I'm sure Lira also appreciates the comment.

My favourite artists include Arctic Moon, Daniel Kandi, Armin van Buuren, Naoki Maeda, and.. well.. quite a lot really.

I get my inspiration from events and feelings I have in my life, not only the bad times, but the brilliant ones.

If you enjoyed this track, then I hope you stick around. I got a lot coming out in the future, as I've had my passion for music rekindled.

Thanks for the review,
- Brittany

Yea that last guys full of S**T...

Lira is a great vocalist and trance vocals usually aren't that great, but this one was a great redeamer. GO LIRA AND DJBRIXX :D!!!

it was ok, but the vocals were annoying.

nice try. what i did not like about the vocals was when they got really high. it just made the song seem disjointed. it would have been ok in anything but trance.

if you do change the vocals, please let me know, because i would like to hear it!

Fierra responds:

I'm afraid you're alone on that one.

Most people were under the impression that Lira did an amazing job, and I'll have to stick with that too.

I WAS thinking of changing them for my upcoming club remix release, but simply re-structured, and added verses, just to create a different, more epic feel. (Perhaps less sudden? As is a *slight* issue on my part, not Liras.)

Thanks for the review! I'll take it into account when I'm re-writing this thing properly =)

Wow...

Brilliant. Sensational. The sound is so full and rich. EVERYTHING about this song is flawless. I love the bit that starts at 1.30 the doo... doo... doo... it complements the song very nicely...

P.S. I didn't download the song because I honestly think that this should be sold as a single or as part of an album rather than available for free download...
