Something I whipped up in about 15 minutes... not the greatest thing I've ever made, but I thought it might be fun to do this. I made it for the A Minor Piano Collab going on in the Audio forum, and although I don't expect to get in, I'm hoping for the best! If it doesn't get in, I'll make it into a full song.

yes

this is good, but needs more strings, and maybe like put a g minor in there as well (only an example, i dont know if its gonna fit). if you make it into a full song, more melody would do it.

Strings are exactly what I need... in the other reviews I put up a plan of sorts. One day I will finish this, but at the moment I'm working on other things. Thanks for the reviews and suggestions!

simple, maybe a bit too simple

i always hate being the lowest in the reviews :( u have a good concept, i see where youre getting at. a more elaborate bass line would help, such as making the individual note into chords instead of individually playing them out, and wtf happened with the end?? although all wtf's aside, for doing this in a short time, its pretty good, a little more elaboration could really make this fly though :) 7/10 4/10 for potential (+0.0091)

Being the lowest is fine, as long as you explain them. Now, it's my turn.

1. You say a more elaborate bassline... I say blocked chords would make it less elaborate. I can't really say I see what ya mean there.

2. Last chord... this was for a collab where this piece was to flow into the next one. I know the chord sounds off, but if this had looped better it would sound more connected.

I am going to come back and revisit this one when I make it into a full song.

Full song!

Even if it does make it in, you should make this a full song. :3 I'd like to see what you can come up with.
It certainly can use some more work. The mastering needs to be changed a bit too.
What did you use for your piano? FL Keys?

Lamplighter responds:

Yup, I'm making it into a full song. I'm going to fix the mechanical side, and actually do some mixing and stuff when I get somewhere with it. And for my piano I use the Steinberg Piano soundfont... I'll pm you with a link.

I'll definitely check out your song, and thanks for the review!

Not bad

Good work on the piano there, although it sounds a bit mechanical. But it's not so strange if you only put 15 minutes into it.

I agree with Cormaster9000 about the instruments: I can imagine strings and some brass coming in in the end. That would be nice.

Too bad it's so short. Don't get me wrong when I say I hope it doesn't get into that collab, cause I'd really like to hear a full version. :)

Yep, I'm going to make this into a full song. And when I do, it's going to be less mechanical. I need to get a MIDI connecter so I can play off my keyboard, that would hep... Thanks for the review!

OMG

I LOVE this!
as bad as this is about to sound.. I almost wish that you dont get in so you make the full version of this lol

at the end of this i imagined strings coming in and maybe some type of brass like.. french horn or something. maybe some flute too?
whatever you do I sure will be amazing.

short and simple but amazing

good job

Lamplighter responds:

Wow... this is awesome! I never expected to get this kind of feedback! I'm actually probably not going to finish the short version, so look for the full version in the future. I think strings and brass are the best choices, and if I can find a decent pan flute I think this could turn out well! Thanks for the review!
