Somehow it reminded me of "space" and "bad people from cowboy movies". Hence the name =)

This was a minimalist project in FL Studio. Just 10 channels - 7 instruments and 3 auto clips. 11 patterns. Each ins has its own FX Track. But I like to reuse automations, just cut up all throughout the song.

UPDATE (1/2/09): Added 2 automations and refined stuff.
UPDATE (1/4/09): Added a solo. It's really messy. I may just trash it and redo it. You be the judge.

Comments and advice are welcome.

Sweet.

Definitely a space themed, western feel. This song is pretty bad ass, dude.

Excellent use of minimalist techniques, man!

I have to say, what you did here is a great improvement to the already vast collection of Audio stuffs here. The simplistic use of the music adds a sort of airy feeling, but the guitar brings it right back down to earth. It's almost as if you're in a desert. Then you add the drums, and the thing get's more into space than before. Also, the clever mixing of the drum beats every third measure has it's (good) affect on the song!

Great performance all around. I'm suprised why there aren't more reviews: Nothing bad can be said about it...

...however, there could be something to work on here. Perhaps increase the general volume of the songs, and perhaps have the base drum from the begining give a steady beat through the middle of the song, about where the metal drum enters.

However, I'm just giving some constructive criticism. And thet's only after I analyze the song for a good while, and lose intrest in the song as a whole, and gain intrest in the individual notes that make it up. However, that's not very fun, so I'll stop there. lol, not like there's anything else to complain about, though.

Keep up the good work! I'll give you a 10, and hope everyone else will agree with me! And I'll make sure to leave some 5's whenever I happen to... happen upon this song again. See ya!

Slick song.

I can't really complain about the song. Great use of sounds. Does give a sense of space and cowboys, haha. I like the melody as well. Calm, but a sense of caution. Adding to favorites, BTW. :) And I don't find anything wrong with the song, too. I like it the way it is. :D
