When you see something blurry, it's either your eyesight or your glasses.
The same thing happens when considering media. If you can't see what's going on on this planet, it's either your own fault, or the lens through which you look at it. And that's the media.
This was written during the Israel-Lebanon conflict (and it remains current with the latest events with the Palestinians), supporting the idea that the news turn wars, deaths and sadness into a product and make profit from it through, you've guessed it, advertising, while the public stays sheltered behind a TV screen.

Well, journalism or rather the lack of ethics in it is an obsession of mine. We tend to get our information from people that aren't educated on the matter they report on, but simply a bit more knowledgeable about it than we are, while their goal is to create an impression, rather than inform. Money makes the world go 'round, but some people should start feeling the moral obligation their profession comes with. War reporting should be something that goes straight to history books, rather than eye watering paperback novels.

Deep within the symbolism,
There is a strong message here, but since I get the vast majority of my news from the BBC, I don't get commercials with it, so I'm better off than this piece points out :P
Still, with the way that the broadcasters paint their pictures these days, it's easy to see why you've come up with a product such as this. I love the tranquil intro and the way that you build it up to a turbulence of gibberish from newsreaders and add some pretty good lyrics to it in the end as well, it's quite gripping.
I think that an instrumental section of slower melody, overlayed with just a few choice headlines could have been a nice suggestion to expand on this piece.

Cheers for the review! You know, it's not the broadcaster's fault and if you think about it, even BBC's main source of income is advertisements. And even if it wasn't, it's not a beneficiary organisation. It has to get money for what it does, and that's selling information.
Another thing I want to promote is political songs. They seem to have eclipsed in the past couple of decades. And the expression of a political opinion through art hasn't been substituted by anything else. Unfortunately, thinking is becoming increasingly passé. The new thing is bling, wheel rims, hoes and bitches, the all time favorites of subjects around love, and last but not least, sexual provocation. Everyone is going back to the roots... Back to the time we were still monkeys.

Wow, this is really a great song. Everything fits very well together, from the intro to the very last tune. Great song writing!
Only downside is that the voice is a tad bit too quiet and has to compete against the other instruments.
Other than that, this track just blew me away!

Thanks for that! Well, you're right. The vocals are low in the mix, but that depends on your stylistic preferences. I've made songs that are pop, where the vocals sit well above anything else in the mix and others (like this one) that they sit together with the rest of the instruments. It depends on what your goal is for each song. This one isn't about showcasing vocal abilities, solos, too complex instrumentation etc. It's about the message. Everything is built around it and trying not to obstruct it. It's a bit less radio-friendly that way, but I didn't intend for it to be in the first place.

I loved the feeling that you give off with your author comments and the audio itself. The music was done very well and the vocals matched the song perfectly. I think you did a pretty good job on not making the music during the vocals too loud and vice versa. I could hear both of them perfectly fine without anything drowning anything else out. I also like the sound effects that you used in this submission.
Overall - I can't really think of anything to critique this submission on. Good job all around.

Thanks for the review! When I made this, I felt the need that this was an underrated subject that needed to be addressed. It's more of a in-your-face political statement than a song. I really think that music has to get over the stage of speaking mostly about love and sex (or in some genres the all so important question of what a pimp the singer is and how fast his rims turn after he stopped his car). The production for this one took quite some time, because I felt that the balances were a bit fragile, but I'm glad that in the end it came out OK.
