Awwwe, first on "best of the week"? THANK YOU NEWGROUNDS! :D
This is pretty fucking awesome :D Thanks to a bunch of people for "helping" with that ;)

This is the first track completed by our group, "Argyros". The "group" is made up of Georgios Tsikriteas and Morgan King.

Morgan also has a newgrounds account, and it can be found here: www.morganking.newgrounds .com (remove the space)

This is basically a new genre we've created, PsyDance, which is a mix of Morgan's Darker psytrance (he's from Canada :P ) and Georgios' harddance (he's from Sweden, yes I know, a Swede who makes Harddance?? What are the chances of that!? :P )

Hope you enjoy, took about a month to make it and we're pretty proud.

realy nice kick

Argyros responds:

You probably don't care, but to get the super nice kick:

- Layer a Punchy kick with a nice, harsh snare
- Cut out the bass from the snare, boost the high end a little
- Cut a tiny bit of the low frequencies out of the kick (just enough so it doesn't mix with the bass)
- Boost the high end of the kick a little

Like it, could do without vocals

Overall, I really liked this song. It was danceable, but also changed itself often enough to keep it interesting even if you don't tend to like dance music (for me personally, the genre is pretty hit or miss). I like the combination of some "modern" sounds with keyboard parts that sound like NES videogames...I really love that. The only thing that bothered me was the inclusion of the random little vocal samples throughout...I just found them distracting, but I generally like my dance music to be without vocals (or at least not have random samples as the only vocal parts). Still a really good track, but could've been great without the vocals.

Argyros responds:

Well, personally I really like the vocals, but I can see how some people wouldn't like them :/

It's kinda a win/lose situation, if we took them out, someone would be pissed, if we left them in, someone else would say that they take away from the song :(

Oh well, can't get EVERYTHING right for everybody :D

Glad you liked it so much! Thanks for the review!

I'm very sorry that I have to ruin

your 24 10 review streak
but this deserves a nine
for this to deserve a ten it would have needed one part that showed little techno, just a beat that could let the listener know that they have included all of the savorings of the masterpiece
also lose the sporadic sayings throughout the entire song
maybe make another version of this to bring my rating up to a ten
9/10 5/5

Argyros responds:

Actually, there was another 9 a few reviews back :P
