"Mellow and Intense!"

by: jtpup0

I personally liked the guitars riffs in sequence during 1:50, and the strings make it sound like some kind of ending to a movie where a hero is dying and it's all sappy with the girl crying on his shoulder because he was in the war and was shot on the battlefield... but that's just what I see.

"Well..."

date: January 1, 2009

As maddboss stated, It's been a long time since I wrote a review for your music. I've been rather caught up in other things myself to pay much attention to Newgrounds. I've actually been paying more attention to 4chan than Newgrounds, which scares me to death.

As madboss said, I was also expecting a piano piece. I know you may feel more at home on a guitar, however, you definitely "feel" more like a piano composer. Don't think that ended up being what I wanted to say, but I am personally more a fan of your piano works.

As always, however, another great piece by you, I hope to see more in the future. Keep it up, I want to hear more.

Author's Response:

Good feedback - composing for the piano does afford me a bit more freedom, and I enjoy it just as much.

I can't promise more anytime soon, but I never stop tooling around with fruity loops, so there's always another song. Thanks, as always, for caring enough to give it all a listen. I always appreciate the discourse.

"Beautifull Christmas song!"

date: December 28, 2008

Hy there!

It was ages ago since I last wrote a review about your songs - to be honest I was damn busy and never got the time to check out the NG AP properly. But now I've seen this song and I thought I'll write one.

I knew your songs from earlier - I was expecting a piano piece, but the gitar(?) suprised me. But it was a good choice I loved the flow of the song. The introdution of the strings and the string marcato was another great choice - give some extra playfullness of the song,

The whole composition is relaxing yet uplifting and gives a warming Christmas/Holiday feeling - to be honest I think this song could fit to any uplifting moment in a lifetime can be not only Christmas.

So all word lead to this: wonderfull job, enjoied troughout the whole track.
10/10; 5/5; downloaded to my best of NG-classical folder.

I hope you had a happy Christmas and I wish you a happy and peacefull New Year!

Greetings:

MadBoss

Author's Response:

Hi again, Madboss. I hope you enjoyed your holiday season.
It's funny to think that being familiar with my music you'd associate me with the piano - I play a bit of piano (a few classical, a few Beatles tunes) but mainly I am a classical guitarist, although you wouldn't know it to listen to this piece and its
wandering tempo, it's several mistakes.

I'm glad you like the way this one came out - I'm still kind of on the fence about it.
Thanks as always for your listen!
