The other day, I was thinking about how I used to write video games, and how when I was trying to create a fangame I'd have to draw graphics in the style of the game I was trying to copy. It never worked out too well but that's not my point XD

So after I decided to focus on writing music, I thought about what it might be like to try and write music for a fangame. That is, to try to emulate a certain game's style. Since I wasn't writing games anymore, I picked one at random: Megaman X5. Well, it wasn't completely random, because Megaman X5 has some of my favorite video game music ever written.

So here it is, Orange Enemy. This is my attempt to write my own boss-like theme in the style of Megaman X5. The reason I chose the name is because for some reason the synths make me think of the color orange.

So have a listen and drop me a review if you want. Looking for lots of comments and criticisms, so feel free to say whatever you're thinking. Thanks!

*update 3/29/09: Just changed some of the voicing and volume levels.*

I liked it. It would be an interesting boss match with that in the background. Almost seems very chill. I would almost say it should be for a level theme instead. I just get the feeling that when I'm fighting a boss or something that I should get a good energy boost and rush from the music. But I will say great sound. Loved the synth. Drums were actually very complimenting to the synth.

Loved it!
