figure'd i could share another boss theme on here from the sonic project. while the 'egg roller' track was a flat-out remix, i wanted something more separate for the other boss tracks, but i still managed a nod or two within them. this is a decent example of a more original track, but with a few motifs that someone may pick up on. still, this is pretty cool, i think. i know it just sort of loops and fades, but it's built to continue endlessly and i haven't quite found a good way to end it traditionally.

as with all my tracks, lemme hear what you think.

listening back now, this needs a quality revamp. nothing huge, just a mixing redux.

EDIT 2-12-12: boy i sure as hell tried to delete this or replace the audio, but the plays wouldn't let me. if i ever get the chance, i'll just have to put a new version in a different slot instead...

EDIT 5-28-12: and i can't delete this one now lol on account of it BEING IN A SUBMISSION FUUUUUUU

Wasn't that impressive.

A boss track has to either be:
A) Adrenalin pumping
B) Daunting
C) Scary

I say that you are aiming into the daunting terretory, but i just don't feel the whole "boss" vibe.

darkmelee responds:

so this is a review of intent, not composition?

Fits the label boss fight.
Overall it was good. But it didn't start off well. I almost didn't bother listening to more than the first 20 seconds, but then I got sidetracked and ended up listening to it all, and I'm glad I did because it is a good song. The main thing that made me want to stop listening at the beginning was the first instrument that made a sound. Not sure what it was but I didn't like it.
Keep making music like this, though.
