This is the vocalized version of Crueldeity's epic metal masterpiece, 'The Anti-hero'.
A long time back, I asked him if he'd mind if I put a vocal on 'The Concept of God', his flagship track.
He told me I could, but I couldn't figure out any lyrics that would enhance the song, it was just too amazing and complex.
When he submitted this song, I noticed that it had a far more vocal-friendly structure, and asked if he'd mind if I did this one instead. With his blessing, I sat down to write some lyrics, and they flowed out like water. The rest, as they say, is history, and you're now listening to our combined efforts to redefine metal on Newgrounds (more of his effort than mine, though. I'm just the vocalist =p).
Please enjoy, and be sure to vote and leave a comment. I read and reply to every review.

Here are the lyrics:

A man born into a life
of wealth and prosperity
a chance that most would kill for
to him is common, and taken for granted

until the day his world was shattered
his closest loved ones wrenched from this world
desire for vengeance runs deep in his blood
bringing destruction to the scum of the earth

an eye for an eye
a life for a life

by the day, he lives like the rest
a worthy successor to his father's domain
but by the night, he flies ever silent
meting out justice with his own swift resolve

Chorus:
The anti-hero
never lets the law stand in his way
vigilante justice
fighting the righteous fight

Damn!

You guys are both great! I would ask you to put lyrics to one of my songs, but I don't think that would work for any of my shit...

Glad you liked, man. \m/

Pretty fucking nice

I liked to original and never though anyone could make up vocals for it, let alone decent ones that would fit. But you my man, did! And they were great. I personally would say i would RATHER hear this song like..well sung clean in some points but, nevertheless i think vocals were very nice and fitting.
Keep it Up

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Thanks much! Glad you enjoyed. It was tough, finding just the right sound for this one, but I think it came out rather well in the end.
Thanks for the review.

you did it justice...

it is a mega track... it took some balls even to think of adding vox, but you made a good job of it.

I was going to say something about "a few more spots the vox would've fit" but then read a review below... and your answer is highly appropriate. The lead guitars really own this track and the vox are only there to back it up, every (very rarely) now and then.

good shit man!

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Yeah, CD definitely knows how to wank on that VST of his. I didn't want to get in the way of that shit.
The vocals are just there to fill in the empty spaces where the wanking subsides, haha.
Thanks for the review, man. This never got the attention that I think it deserves, it being CD's and all.
