Ooh
Really nice. Doesn't sound exactly 8 bit but more so than some of the attempts others have made (Oh, I see you mention this in your comments).
This reminds me of a game I played a long time ago but I can't think of it...ah well. Great stuff.
Gonna start uploading a few of my quasi-8-bit pieces since NG likes that sort of thing. I say Quasi because they don't really adhere to 8 bit limitations (e.g. 4 note polyphony, low low sample rates etc.) Oh and they're not actually made on 8 bit hardware, just standard DAWs with 8 bit synth emulations.
I don't use ANY effects on ANY of these pieces, though. So they're still *fairly* true to original 8 bit composition. Truer than these people using mountains of spatial effects and dynamic processors and still calling their crap 8 bit, anyway.
This one is called: I Confide
Again, the polyphony is too busy and far too much liberty has been taken with ADSR envelopes to truly call it 8 bit. The song is in 7/4 time the whole way through. It's a lovely little sentimental piece. Not much else to say really.

Thanks dude. Yeah I wanted to make sure it was absolutely 100% clear that this isn't *truly* 8 bit and neither is anything else I do at the moment.
Excellent work :D
what program and files did you use to create this its awsome :D
My DAW/sequencer is FL Studio. The VST plugins used are peach and triforce and they're by Aaron Rutledge of www.tweakbench.net :)
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
