Inspired by my favorite band Underworld, I'm going to treat my newest song as a journey. I will be submitting different versions, adding, subtracting, and completely changing the syntax of the song.

Part 1 is what I like to call the "spine" of the song. This is my music when it is 70 percent done, although I can tell you that the last 30 percent is always the toughest. It has ideas, it has hooks, but no flourishes.

This is a rare occasion where I welcome reviewer suggestions for improvement! Where do you want this song to go? Longer, shorter, more energy, less energy, different synths, different tone? I'll let you decide.

Look forward to future versions :)

"FRUITY LOOPSSSS"

date: March 12, 2009

i like it, its relaxing. but its kinda missing a beat, even though its there its real quiet. also, try making your pads cause anyone that uses FL will notice those right away, but i like the asian sounding part that comes in around 40 secs in the song.

Thanks! When I made this song, I was going through a lot of troubles, so I just couldn't bring myself to create what it should have been. I might revisit it someday..

"Hey Gill!"

date: February 19, 2009

I dunno if you remember me, but we had a good spout of reviews going for each other's songs, and I just wanted to let you know that this song has a very special feeling to it, it's almost perfect. But, I have just the improvement that it needs! I think it would complete the song if you added this.

The melody at 0:58 - 1:06 is beautiful, but it needs to continue again at 1:36 when the drums come back again, and have that new instrument that you added at 1:07 play along with the main melody, it would create a perfect harmony!! This song has so much potential it's driving me crazy. Buy me a plane ticket so i can come work on it with you!! haha.

Good luck,
Sincerely,
Aaron.

"This song is awesome and so are you."

A calm feeling is what really changes the mood, since there's been hyper-ass songs, and the more coordination thrown in a song makes it better. Also, there are no other words to explain this song. That's how awesome you are.

Thanks! This really is a work-in-progress, though. I want to make the best song I've ever done, and I think the seeds have been planted here to accomplish that goal. There's more work to be done!

I like your style in this song!
I also can see why you plan to do many remixes of this song it has a good flow and interesting progressions.

I would be willing to do a remix for you on this track or collab to help with some fresh ideas. I like everything about the song and i think you can take this that other 30%.

Author's Response:

I like the idea of cooking a song to perfection. If you want to remix it, go right ahead. I'm not feeling a collab vibe from this one though... not sure why, but I think I have to finish this one myself! It will be a while before I submit the final official version.. Thanks for the review!

"Hm...additions?"

date: November 24, 2008

Personally I think some D&B elements would do the song justice, slowly fading in somewhere around 1:49...Otherwise, this song is just fine. Has a brilliant oriental feel.

Author's Response:

DnB?? I can't really picture that with this song, although I'll definitely try out a dancier style for a future version. Thanks for the review :)
