Easy Listening - Jazz

I guess that's a silly track ... and Ragtime is part of Jazz style ...
Well, that I made in several minutes, as a request for a scene in black and white old mute movie style ...
I think that could fit in a Flash quite well.

Too bad that Laurel and Hardy don't make movies anymore ... they would appreciate this ;)

How do you this?

This song is really cool, and authentic! I'm just wondering...
How did you do this?

sorohanro responds:

How I did ? simple, the Ragtime as a music style have quite strict rules, left hand goes like march style playing bass on 1 & 3 and the chord on 2 & 4. The melody I made up fast from the chord changes that are quite classic.
The sound, well, I took a Honky-Tonk piano, put a filter on it to make it lo-fi and added crackles (found on Soundsnap).
Thanx for review.

Very good!

I really felt like I was in the 1930's when I heard this track. Also, in the movies I watched, I never realised this track was a loop, so plus marks for that. Overall, a song that really fits into what it's meant to fit into. The static is just the icing on the cake.

Great job!

sorohanro responds:

Thanx for the very nice review.

very funny song...kinda reminds you of the first mari games such as mario bros 3 on the nes lol

sorohanro responds:

Thanx for review.
This should remind of first movies ... still, none of us were born that time :))

Well done!

That was funny and I think it was the main point, well done. But it was also well done musical-wise. It sounded more bluesy than jazzy in my opinion, especially about the chord progression, it was typicaly a blues progression, but you are more informed than me :P. The piano sounded great, what is this type of piano ? And the little noises were a great addition, I must say that it gave the song this particular feeling. Nothing to complain about : ).

sorohanro responds:

It's a Honky-Tonk piano, you'll find on most piano VST's or piano samples something similar, I put a "telephone" EQ and some statics and here I got instant gramophone effect ;)
Thanx for review.
