Let me just first say that Mirror's Edge is AWESOME. Definitely one of the most unique games I've played in years, it's just too bad it's pretty short (but still very replayable!).
The music in this game is really good, I don't think anyone couldn't get around it if you've seen any trailer. So here's my contribution to the amazing OST of Mirror's Edge!

2 year late review
I found this track a while ago on the Audio Portal, downloaded it and have been listening to it since. Glad to see it's gotten it's appreciation from the most part. I didn't review it back then because I just recently remembered my NG account and such. Very good track and hope you keep up the good work!

A Story
In late 2008, I joined Newgrounds and began to become familiar with the site. Through some link or another, I stumbled upon this song and downloaded it, putting it on my iPod.
A few weeks later, I was at a relative's house, and was not in good shape. Long story short, I was going through one of the worst parts of my life. I was suffering from severe depression, to the point where I was only going to school irregularly. I avoided my relatives at all costs, preferring to hide in the bushes in their yard to human interaction. But although that was less painful, it did nothing to actually help. I was a pit of misery, and honestly could think of no worthwhile reason to live.
I left the property and started to wander across the neighborhood. Somewhat surprisingly, I had my iPod on me and took it out. I was not a music fan, so why did I have it? It was a gift from an aunt. I had my parents' old Beatles CDs, the best of Queen and the Rolling Stones, and about six songs from the Audio Portal on it.
As I listened to some tunes, I shambled up and down the dark streets, aimless in more than one sense. A few ttimes, I wandered into the middle of the road. Had a car come, I would not have cared.
Then I heard a chorus, quietly singing. It was from my iPod. For some reason, it grabbed my notice far more than a passing truck would have. I became absorbed in the delicate piano, the discordant guitars, the struggling instruments in conflict over the melody, the final resolution. When the song ended. I listened to it. Again. And again. And again.
I walked back to the house. I kept an eye out for traffic. I asked my parents for a therapist. I did not die.
Thank you.

Transcendant
You really have some musical genius as far as I can tell. Or at least, your song really fell within my favourite kind of music because when I first heard this song on a video it felt like my mind was transcending my body. Thank you for the out of body experience. I wouldn't know how, but I'm fairly sure you could make a career out of this.

Amazing
This is truly one of the best remixes of any song I've ever heard. When that guitar comes in on the high notes it kills me.
