Just something quick I wrote in a day. I know it's not very polished, but I'm tired of trying to get my songs perfect before I submit them here, so I decided to just submit one that I feel OK about.

For guitar, cello and tuba.

I'm not really sure what "genre" this is. It starts out Klezmer-ish, then changes into something else. "Classical" is probably the best bet.

"Delightful, here's a suggestion."

I wonder why this is getting numerous bad scores. I feel it has a nice style and, though it is unpolished, it still enjoyable to listen to. The thing I liked most was the different character this piece has.

Suggestions - At approximately 1:18 or so you have a new instrument begin, its bit lasts until about 1:38. It feels as though it changes the song's attitude and feel. If I were the composer I would remove it or change it to a more elegant and/or matching instrument. I believe it's because the rest of the song has a more old-fashioned home instrumental character feel but that particular piece becomes too mechanical or computer based. I hope this was helpful.

What you put down sounded OK, and so you get an OK score. I would have liked more effort and 'polishing', but I know what you mean in your commentary. Just do as you feel. If you enjoy making music, don't let the pro-production process stop you! You've got potential. I hear it in this. Don't cheap out! Keep up the great work!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review, Godknown. Yeah, I'll probably update this file eventually with a more polished version. Judging from the current score (1.26), Newgrounders aren't very forgiving of unpolished work (or maybe they're not forgiving of weird harmonies... damned if I know. I wish the zero-voters would have left a review to say what they didn't like.)
